Dracula 2000 (2000)

Corrected entry: When Solina is pinned against the wall after Van Helsing shoots her with a silver nail, as she crashes into the wall, you can see that the large nail is not there (play in slow motion for confirmation). In the next shot, it's suddenly stuck in her shoulder. (00:41:55)

Kylantha

Correction: Per site rules, if you need slow motion in order to verify something, it's not a mistake.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: During the scene where Jonathan is closing the transactions in Dracula's castle, the position and arrangement of the papers and objects on the table changes dramatically between shots, without anyone redecorating the table. (00:15:20 - 00:16:20)

Kylantha

Correction: I've examined the scene closely multiple times and the position and arrangement of the papers and objects seems to remain consistent throughout the scene.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: When Arthur is guarding Lucy, just before he sees Dracula, a female voice can be heard saying "Now", cuing him to turn his head. (01:16:20)

Kylantha

Correction: While it is possible to interpret the sound as a woman saying "now", the manner in which it would be said makes it very unlikely it was someone on set giving a cue. It is long and drawn out, more like "neeoow." Someone on set would probably say and concisely "Now." It is far more likely this is another place in the movie where many sounds are overlaid for eerie effect. If I had to pin it on something exactly I would say it represents Lucy responding to Dracula's presence with an inviting sound.

Once Upon a Time (2011)

The Doctor - S2-E5

Corrected entry: When the group is approaching the camp at the beginning of the episode, Snow says "All true. Just leave the particulars to us." Even though she is several meters away from the camera, you can see that her lips are not moving. (00:00:35)

Kylantha

Correction: If you listen closely, you can hear that it's actually Emma who says this, not Snow.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: When Jonathan is closing the transactions in Dracula's castle, a huge map of London can seen on the wall. There's a long wideshot where the camera pans along with Dracula's shadow on the map, and every inch of the map is revealed. Then, when Dracula mentions Renfield, Renfield's card, pinned to the map, appears out of nowhere. (00:15:45)

Kylantha

Correction: The shot of Renfield's card is meant to give the audience a visual representation of who he is. The card is not pinned on the map that is shown in the previous shots.

True Blood (2008)

Correction: However he wasn't there, is distraught about his brother and is also angry. He was only told what had happened, he could quite easily be getting details confused.

True Blood (2008)

Plaisir D'Amour - S1-E9

Corrected entry: In the previous episode, Jason and Amy kidnap Lafayette's source of V. While Jason drives them home with the vampire in the back of the truck, Amy says, "If you wanna make the same arrangement which Eddie Lafayette's got, then have at it." However, nothing has happened that would let her know what the vampire's name is. (00:05:00)

Kylantha

Correction: Just because it didn't happen onscreen doesn't mean it didn't happen at all; Jason and Amy had plenty of time to have had a conversation we didn't see.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: When Lucy is walking through the garden maze at night, her reddish-orange gown reaches her feet, but after the wind sweeps by her legs, the gown is knee length. When Mina leads her back to the house, it goes back to its original length. (00:39:50)

Kylantha

Correction: After Lucy's gown is blown up in the wind, the skirt section of the dress slowly sinks down again and for a few seconds it looks like her dress is knee-length; however, at the end of the shot, the entire skirt has moved back into place and you can tell that the dress still reaches her feet.

Kylantha

Correction: The dress that Eiko Ishioka has designed for this shot consists of a corset that reaches up until the bases of thighs and the rest of the dress is made of pieces of very thin fabric. And that's why when the wind blew the dress swooshed of her legs. Here's the picture that shows how the dress was built. http://www.thehunchblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/oc-lucy.jpg.

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: During the board meeting at Wayne Enterprises, before Bruce shows up, as Earle says, "I think after twenty years we can allow ourselves to…", he's walking towards his chair. As the shot ends, he's about two meters away from the chair, but in the next shot where he continues "…stop thinking about what Thomas Wayne would have done", he's already reached the chair and sits down. (00:46:10)

Kylantha

Correction: He never sits down. This entry is just flat out wrong.

You must have watched an edited version or missed the obvious. Earle IS seen sitting down and the mistake is valid.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: When Mina drops the small bottle, as Prince Vlad catches it, the liquid is yellow. When his hand is magically higher up a second later, it's obviously not the same bottle; the liquid is much darker. (00:44:00)

Kylantha

Correction: It all happens in a single shot, so the difference is probably just due to lightning. It could've been intentional to subtly show Draculas' supernatural abilities, but that is doubtful. There is no reason to believe it is anything but that Dracula is now holding the bottle with his full hand, reducing the amount of light reaching the bottle, making it appear darker.

Dracula (1992)

Corrected entry: Before the blood transfusion, Van Helsing says, "I've only experimented. Landsteiner's method". The first one of Karl Landsteiner's epochal articles was published in 1900, three years after the movie is set. (00:57:25)

Kylantha

Correction: Landsteiners' groundbreaking work was in compatibility of individual blood groups. Clearly neither Van Helsing nor anyone else in the room even considers the blood type of either the donor or the recipient of the blood. Lucy survived the transfusions though sheer luck (either because the donors were of the correct blood types, or because of her new vampiric nature). Van Helsing was talking about some other work of Landsteiner, probably fictional. This may still qualify for a factual error, but it is a different mistake altogether.

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: When Bruce throws the gun into the sea, he's holding the gun in the first shot, but in the following wide shot, the hand that seemingly throws the weapon is empty, and Bruce is actually throwing nothing. (00:27:15)

Kylantha

Correction: Happens too fast to discern one way or the other. Even with frame advance (a violation of the guidelines of the site), there are only three frames in which Bruce would still have gun in-hand. But even with the image paused, the hand is so blurred by motion, it's impossible to tell anything about it.

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: When Bruce is talking to Rachel before the hearing, his face is seen from the side as he says, "How's your mum?" Neither his lips nor his jaws are moving at all. (00:22:20)

Kylantha

Correction: His face is actually seen from over his shoulder, behind him -- meaning we don't see his lips at all in the shot. In any case, his jaw does move slightly during the line... it's just that his jaw movements are so slight when he speaks, it's hardly noticeable..

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: When Batman drives off from Arkham Asylum, the Tumbler drives into and hits the police car twice, first in the quick close-up, and then again in the following wide shot of the street. (01:29:05)

Kylantha

Correction: No. In the close-up, the tire hits the hood of the police car. Then a reaction shot of the cops inside. Finally the shot of the Tumbler *continuing* to climb the car (wheel up to the windshield and roof).

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: When the Tumbler leaps toward the second rooftop, as the shot ends, the Tumbler is almost right on top of the first dormer. In the next shot of the Tumbler flying through the air, it is much farther away from the dormer, before it lands on the roof. (01:31:10)

Kylantha

Correction: Like slo-motion or bullet-time, it's an editing choice of the action scene. First shot, Tumbler leaps and almost lands on the opposite roof. Second shot, closeup of Batman driving. Third shot, closer angle of the Tumbler finishing its leap. We are not meant to believe that the Tumbler is still falling during the intervening shot of Batman. It's all meant to convey different persectives of one concurrent action.

JC Fernandez

Corrected entry: As the cockpit of Anakin's starfighter closes, his mouth is moving as if he's talking, but nothing is heard. (01:47:00)

Kylantha

Correction: His mouth is barely moving. Regardless, people make soundless mouth and facial movements all the time.
