Other mistake: Sheldon (in the voice-over) says "it really brought what's his name and I closer together." The grammatically correct expression is "brought what's his name and ME closer together", and a stickler like Sheldon would not make that mistake.

Other mistake: When Bev boards the train, there is a yellow ramp from the platform to the car. It is never removed, but isn't there when the train begins to move.

Other mistake: When Columbo is examining the crashed Jaguar, we see silvery tape around the opening where the smashed headlight had been. The tape shouldn't be there.

Other mistake: The voice-over mentions a DC10 almost hitting an Airbus. The plane shown has two engines - a DC10 has 3 engines.

Other mistake: Before the shooting, we saw a reflection of the officer in the outside mirror of the limo. The glass is rectangular. The actual mirror of the '73 Cadillac Model 75 had rounded corners.

Other mistake: The police photographer takes a picture of the garbage grinder. His camera has a flash, and the photo is indoors, but the flash does not fire.

Other mistake: We are told several times that the "Special Reserve" is kept locked in Mr. Palmer's office. When Anna comes to the bar to "see" it (and put the poison in it), it is in plain sight on the shelf behind the bar, and her husband hands it to her.

Other mistake: Paulie takes off his blood-soaked shirt at the laundry. His undershirt is clean. It should also be covered in blood.

Other mistake: In the movie within the story the murderer repeatedly stabs the victim and pulls back the knife. Even after several stabs there is no blood on the knife.

Other mistake: Columbo goes into a diner and has a bowl of chili. The cook asks if he wants his coffee black. Later he asks if he wants cream and sugar in his coffee.

Other mistake: When Melissa sends Andy to have a shower we see that there are several sets of clothing in the closet. We see them again in her flashback when she awakes after being kidnapped. They have just arrived in the Bridal (Empire) Suite, and are leaving very early the next morning for their honeymoon. Why would those clothes be in the closet?

Other mistake: After Herod shoots Ellen Doc Wallace examines her and says she is dead. Obviously he is in league with Ellen and Cort, using the red ink to make her look dead. But earlier he says that Spotted Horse is dead, having "examined" him from several feet away. He is wrong, because Spotted Horse gets up and fires several shots at Cort. He would have no reason to fake that death, and is apparently a qualified doctor.

Other mistake: Jack is taking photographs with a film camera that does not have an autowinder. He continues to take photos, but never winds the film.
