Answer: There's no telling. Possibly his parents' house. Possibly a house he sold when he moved to Springfield and he had to downgrade when his promised high-paying job went to a dog.
His parents abandoned him.

Question: Marge mentions a guy named Anthony Michael Hall, like the actor, who stole Homer's car stereo. She is pointing out how the names are a coincidence. Why does Bart say "Riiight, coincidence", as if he doesn't believe this?
Answer: Bart's implying it really was the actor, who hadn't been in movies for years and had apparently turned to a life of crime.

Question: In the opening credits, what is the meaning of the tombstone that says "American Workmanship"?
Answer: They're implying the quality of American-made products had really declined. At the time, the US market was facing stiff competition from Japan and other nations, and some people blamed it on American goods being shoddy.

Answer: He was probably irrelevant to the plot so he was not included.
It's called lampshade hanging. By drawing our attention to it the producers are letting us know they are aware it is an issue.
Yes, but even when the family is having dinner together, he's not there.

Question: How exactly did the production of Homer's car bankrupt Herb? If Herb, as a highly successful car manufacturer, was spending so much money spoiling Marge and the kids that an $82,000 price tag for making a car was enough of a straw to break the camel's back, wouldn't he have gone bankrupt sooner than later anyway?
Answer: It wasn't the cost of one car, but that they'd produced thousands of Homer's ridiculous vehicles, which they'd marketed as a family car, but cost five times as much as a new car at the time. No one would buy them and the company went under.
Wasn't the car just a demo though? How would they have been able to produce thousands of cars in such a short amount of time?
Big difference between a "demo" or prototype car compared to a launch car. The dealers must have stock available of the launch car so people can actually buy them straight away.

Answer: She also appears in the episode 'Bart Gets Hit By a Car.' Bart sees her in Heaven, complete with tire tracks on her body.

Question: When the kids take over Kamp Krusty, Lisa hands out all the kids' confiscated mail to them and one of them says "My insulin." How did that kid survive at that camp all that time (whilst it was being run by the bullies and Mr Black), without their insulin and not become ill due to not being able to treat their diabetes?
Chosen answer: He assumedly arrived at camp with a supply. The shtick is that the counselors are so cruel they'd withhold his lifesaving medication.

Answer: The news crew might have wanted to film him outside, on a nearby street, instead of going to his apartment. It looks more cheerful.
