Roseanne (1988)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Over the course of the show, the entrance into DJ's bedroom changes position. In the earlier seasons, the entry was on the right-hand side of the screen and the bathroom door was to the left. In later episodes, the characters entered the bedroom from the left-hand side. Everything else in the room remains the same.

Correction: DJ moved into Darlene and Becky's old room across the hall in later episodes.

No, the one I'm referring to was not Becky and Darlene's old bedroom. It was DJ's room and it was when Darlene was still living at home in her own bedroom (after Becky moved out).

Passengers (2016)

Corrected entry: When the ship loses gravity, only Gus' arms rise from the bed. His head, the rest of his body, the blanket, etc. should show some effects of being weightless but do not.

raywest

Correction: In that scene, the blanket doesn't appear to move at all, while (as you said) his arms float into the air, which suggests that the blanket itself is held down magnetically (or through some other mechanism). His bed may have this extra feature because he's a crew member.

sfbiker1

Even if your explanation was accurate, for which there is no evidence, Gus' body, not just his arms, would still show effects of the lost gravity. His head would move, his body would attempt to lift up and be shown to be restrained by the "magnetic" blanket holders. Even if it was magnetic, there was enough slack in the blanket that his body would have risen an inch or two.

raywest

When gravity disappears, objects do not attempt to lift up; they stay where they are, unless there is some force applied to them.

Corrected entry: When Newt chases one of his creatures through Central Park, the park is heavily covered in snow and people are ice skating on a frozen pond. At any other time directly before or immediately after this scene and throughout the movie, there is virtually no snow anywhere in comparison to what's in the park, and people are dressed for moderate weather.

raywest

Correction: You can see snow piled up on stoops and in alleys. It's just been stomped into slush, and swept or shoveled away where people walk and cars drive.

Working Girl (1988)

Corrected entry: When Jack arrives at Katherine's apartment, he rings her intercom from the street entrance. She instantly answers and buzzes him in, even though she's laid up in bed with a broken leg. There's no intercom near the bed, and she could not have gotten to the one by the front door that quickly, hobbling around on crutches and a cast on her leg. When Jack comes up, she's still in bed, sitting in the same position as when Tess left a few minutes before Jack's arrival.

raywest

Correction: There is an intercom by the right-hand side of the bed.

Crimson Peak (2015)

Corrected entry: The Sharpe's dilapidated mansion has had a huge hole in the roofing for some time that allows snow and rain to fall through into the foyer. However, there is no sign of water and weather damage to the foyer area except to a portion o the floor directly beneath. The foyer walls, staircase, and furniture look completely unaffected by being exposed to the weather when they should be stained, faded, moldy, warped, or buckled.

raywest

Correction: The water damage is prevalent and easily visible throughout the entire house.

Phixius

I am only referring to the foyer area, where the huge, gaping roof hole is several stories directly above, and not the rest of the house. Other than the floor, the rest of the room looks practically pristine, unaffected by the mold, mildew and humidity that would be caused by the rain and cold.

Corrected entry: Near the end, there's a huge parade in downtown Chicago being held in the middle of a school/work week with no explanation about why it is in progress when parades are typically held on the weekend. Despite that, hundreds of people, who would normally be working, are there watching it with their kids who, like Ferris and his fellow truant pals, should be in school.

raywest

Correction: First off, it's made very clear it's the Steuben Parade (a very popular German-American parade held in Chicago in September). While there is no "explanation" in the movie, parades are held in the middle of the week for various reasons, such as bad weather on the scheduled day, etc.

Bishop73

The Steuben Day Parade is held on a weekend day in September, not in the Spring. In most cities, it is the third Saturday of September. It is inconceivable that if a parade of that size and duration was unexpectedly cancelled for any reason that it would just be moved over to the middle of the week. The logistics are such that it would either be cancelled or rescheduled for another weekend which would take months to arrange due to the tremendous time, planning, and physical work involved to set up the staging areas, issue new permits, transport the floats, reschedule marching bands, drill teams, and other participants, close streets, reroute traffic, handle crowd control, have security, do promotion, etc.

raywest

This correction was done in my infancy of joining the website. I was trying to correct the mistake of what the parade was for (but did acknowledge it's a September parade) rather than accept the Steuben parade was out of place and wouldn't have been scheduled for the following year if the film was meant to be set 1-2 months before graduation.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Right after the wedding fiasco, Samantha tries to cancel Carrie's honeymoon trip for her. She tells Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda that she couldn't get Carrie a refund, but she instead got them all in (meaning the girls are now going to Mexico), and she has booked three more seats. However, there were already two seats booked (for Carrie and Big), so Samantha would only need to book two additional seats to accommodate all four of the girls.

raywest

Correction: With airline security the way it is these days, there is no way one of the other girls could have just filled Big's seat. They would have had to show ID and a boarding pass and passport with his information on it in order to be on the flight. Instead, and I'm sure Samantha knew this being that she's in PR, she most likely cancelled Big's ticket and then was able to "book three more" seats on the same flight so that the girls could go with Carrie.
