Continuity mistake: When Bond and M are in the back of the taxi whilst driving in Paris, two white cars can be seen passing the taxi when Bond is speaking, but when the camera cuts to M in the next shot, there is now an orange lorry, and the white cars are nowhere to be seen. (00:20:30)

Continuity mistake: When Bond meets Stacey for the first time at Zorin's reception, he hands his bottle of champagne over to a waiter. At this point, you can see a Chinese couple walking behind Bond and Stacey, but in the next shot the Chinese couple have disappeared and another couple walk by that weren't in the previous shot. (00:33:05)

Continuity mistake: When Bond climbs out of the burning elevator to fetch the hose in order to rescue Stacey, you can see the two cables behind the elevator door are unlit, but after a quick cut to Stacey, we return to the door and the cables are now on fire. (01:26:40)

Character mistake: When Bond and Stacey are in the file room in San Francisco City Hall, Bond pulls out the Division of Mines Paperwork on Zorin's wells and it has "HAYWOOD" written across it. The actual fault is spelled "HAYWARD." (01:21:40)

Continuity mistake: During the steeplechase sequence, Bond is attacked by one of Zorin's exercise boys wearing a yellow helmet. After a quick cut to Zorin looking over his shoulder, we return to Bond and he is now being attacked by a different rider with a dark green helmet, while the rider with the yellow helmet is now at the back of the pack. Continuity mistake: When the two guards go down the stable elevator to the laboratory, the amount of straw on the floor of the elevator changes between shots. (00:36:40)

Revealing mistake: When Bond and Tibbitt are in the underground lab the big henchman takes out Tibbitt. When the henchman turns to take out Bond you can see Tibbitt in the background unconscious. It is not Patrick Macnee but a stunt double. (00:38:30)

Continuity mistake: When Bond puts the bearded guard on the conveyor belt in the warehouse, you can see there is nothing around him, but after a quick cut to Sir Godfrey, we return to the guard and he is now between two crates. (00:38:50)

Continuity mistake: After Scarpine has knocked out Bond and pushes him into the back of the Rolls Royce, the position of Sir Godfrey's head on the headrest changes between shots. (00:50:00)

Continuity mistake: When Zorin is explaining his plan to the men aboard the blimp he makes the model of Silicon Valley rise from a hidden compartment and dramatically gestures his arms upwards with his hands spread wide apart. While the model is still rising, the handkerchief changes to his right hand then back to the left. (00:54:30)

Continuity mistake: At Stacey's house, Bond is sleeping with the gun in his lap. When Stacey enters with breakfast, the gun has changed position and he is now holding it upright. (01:18:00)

Continuity mistake: When one of Zorin's thugs pulls the shotgun out of Bond's hand at Stacey's mansion, you can see that Stacey is standing directly behind Bond on the staircase, but in the next shot she has now moved a few steps further up. (01:13:20)

Continuity mistake: When the thug is knocked through the bannister he grabs the chandelier with two hands next to each other. As we see him swinging a second later his hands are spread apart. (01:13:05)

Revealing mistake: When the Russian is holding out the Order of Lenin for Bond, a square stage light or screen reflector can be seen in his glasses. (02:02:05)

Continuity mistake: When General Gogol is in M's office at the end of the film, he is holding an Order of Lenin medal in his right hand, but few shots later he is holding a glass of champagne and the medal is nowhere to be seen. (02:01:50)

Revealing mistake: When the airship collides with the bridge, the flame effects are visible before contact is made. (01:58:20)

Continuity mistake: When Stacey is running towards Bond after Zorin's plan to destroy Silicon Valley failed, his airship is gaining on her. When we see a view from the airship, Bond is on the grass and running on gravel, but when Zorin captures Stacey, Bond is back running on the grass again. (01:55:00)

Continuity mistake: When Bond enters the turbine, there is a dead crab on the grate. But when he leaves the turbine, the crab has disappeared. (01:00:30)

Revealing mistake: After Mayday drops the recalcitrant businessman out of the zeppelin, there's a long shot of him falling into the water far below. An obvious dummy, his legs are flailing much too limply (and in too many directions) to be human. (00:56:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Bond reaches the top of the stairs after sneaking into Stacey's mansion, you can see a boom mic in the mirror behind him. (01:11:40)
