Continuity mistake: Season 2, Episode 5: "Goodbye To All That" - We see Marty Bedell playing on his Xbox 360 with a headset attached to his right ear. But when the T-888 arrives at his house to kill him and he goes to answer the door, the headset is gone. There was absolutely no time for Marty to remove the headset as the camera cuts too quickly.

Continuity mistake: Right after Bennett takes off in the plane, Claire throws a gun to Alice. Between the slow-motion shots, the gun switches position in mid-air before Alice catches it. In the shot of Claire throwing it, the barrel is facing to the right, meaning that it should be facing to the left in the shot of Alice catching it. But it still faces the right when she does. Continuity mistake: When The First (disguised as Buffy) talks to Buffy about being/dying alone, The First's fringe changes thickness between side angle and closeup shots.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, when Inara asks Simon how River is, River's hair is hanging down behind her back on both sides. But when Simon tells Inara that she still won't talk about what was done to her at the Academy, her hair is hanging in front of her right shoulder. A few shots later her hair is hanging behind her back again.

Continuity mistake: When Ryan crosses out the name "I. Seperich" on the "Dirty Dozen" list, the thickness of the line changes between shots, as he talks to Castle.

Continuity mistake: When Castle arrives home and starts talking to Martha about Madge's performance in her play, Martha's left hands moves from raised to down by her side between shots.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the episode when Buffy is running along the rooftops trying to catch up to the school bus, we see an overhead shot of one of the buildings collapsing just before she jumps off it. In this shot, Buffy is not holding the scythe that she used to kill Caleb. Once she jumps the rooftop however, she is holding it in her right hand.

Tick, Tick, Tick ... - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: After Special Agent Shaw tells Beckett to go home when they believe a murder took place in a multi-story car park, Beckett touches her hair with her right hand. She is wearing gloves on both of her hands when she does this. In the shot immediately afterwards however, her right hand is bare and she is holding the glove in her left hand.

Chosen - S7-E22

Continuity mistake: When Buffy has told the Scoobies her plan about going down into the Hellmouth, Willow starts talking about how it's beyond anything she's ever done. As she says this she is looking in Buffy's direction, but as she continues and the camera cuts away, her reflection can be seen in a nearby mirror - she is suddenly looking straight ahead of her and then turns to look in Giles' direction. She is then suddenly looking back in Buffy's direction as the camera cuts back to her.

Continuity mistake: When Kaylee and Simon go looking for spare parts on board the derelict ship, there are two green lights lit up on a control box behind Kaylee. But once Kaylee pulls one of the ship's parts out, the two green lights are no longer lit. Several lights in the room flicker and flash on/off, but the two green lights on the control box behind Kaylee do not.

Continuity mistake: After Simon and River come down from Serenity's roof, River asks Simon if Mal is coming back. Simon tells her that he is. River's head then moves from looking down to looking up between shots.

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the episode whilst Buffy is fighting Caleb with the scythe, right after he says to her, "You're not slipping out of this fight, girl. Can't you see? You can't stop me. I can just keep going back for more. It's like being reborn," and throws her into a wall, the position of the scythe changes constantly between shots.

Continuity mistake: After Spike finishes reading his poem to his mother, the piece of paper that it's written on disappears from his hands between shots. We never hear or see him put it in his pocket and he doesn't move to put it down on the table beside him.

Continuity mistake: During Anya's pep talk to the Potentials, Andrew draws crude illustrations to visualize what she is saying. One the second page that uses to draw a picture of the sun, the top of the previous page that's folded over the back of the board changes from being folded straight to folded at an angle between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Vincent shoots Marvin in the face Vincent can be seen facing the windshield of the car, not aiming his gun at Marvin. In the following shot he is facing Marvin and turns to face the windshield again.
