Factual error: The Toyota Prius uses an electronic transmission that requires the ignition to be turned on. Since J.D. said that he had no idea how to operate the car, he could not have pushed it from the parking space because he wouldn't have been able to put it in neutral.

The Unit (2006)
Factual error: The headquarters of the German GSG-9 are actually in Sankt Augustin near Bonn and not in Hamburg as the show implies.

The Unit (2006)
Factual error: When the American team almost assassinates the vice-chancellor in the beginning, the German team comes in guns blazing. No special forces unit in the world would do that. They would have suppressed weapons, and use their ammunition diligently.

2012 (2009)
Factual error: The scene where Yuri starts the car with his voice has two mistakes in it. The first one is that to use voice activation in any kind of car you have to push a button to let the car know that you're talking to it and secondly no car manufacturer would make the voice recognition the only way to start the car, there would always also be the option to start the car via a button or with the key simply because of safety reasons.
Suggested correction: I'm fairly sure a billionaire oligarch could afford to pay for a custom job like that considering a pop star from the 2000s paid Ferrari a solid gold engine and a lawnmower.

2012 (2009)
Factual error: The coat of arms behind the German chancellor in the briefing scene is wrong. First of all the actual German coat of arms is not oval and secondly this is not the coat of arms used by the German chancellor. The one used by the German chancellor is hexagonal and could also be found on the old German currency.

Two and a Half Men (2003)
Skunk, Dog Crap and Ketchup - S8-E13
Factual error: Despite Alan's general bad luck he indeed wouldn't have to be afraid of the skunks. In reality skunks use their anal scent glands very reluctantly and only if they feel threatened because they only carry a limited amount of liquid and have a rather long "recharging" time. To that effect a skunk that apparently feels home in a suburban surrounding would never feel threatened by a human.

Family Guy (1999)
Audio problem: At the piano competition you see Peter playing towards the left side of the piano and hear the pitch going higher. This wrong because the keys for the high pitches are on the right side of the piano.

Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
Character mistake: General Landry says that the Asurans would need to rewrite McKay's macro to gate to any planet in the Milky Way. In fact they wouldn't have to bother with the macro, because they could simply gate directly to the Milky Way from a ZPM-powered Atlantis.

Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
Character mistake: Rodney says that one hour in real time would give them months inside the field. This is incorrect because if the ratio of time were 1:250 as stated before, one hour would only convert to 250 hours, which is 10 days and 10 hours.

Friends (1994)
The One With The Free Porn - S4-E17
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Phoebe tells the gang about her "Relaxitaxi" idea the position of Chandler's left arm changes between shots. In the frontal shots it's lying the back of the chair and in the shots from behind it's wrapped around Monica's shoulder.

How I Met Your Mother (2005)
Continuity mistake: Ted says that Marshall and he only ate jerky and drank Tantrum on their road trips. In 2-17 "Arrivederci, Fiero" however it's established that Marshall had a rule forbidding any kind of food or drink, even groceries, in his Fiero. (00:01:15)
Suggested correction: Marshall came up with the rule because of Lily and Robin. Before they met, in the era when Ted and Marshall had road trips, they would've had food and drinks.
Nope, the no food or drinks rule is because his brothers made him get 12 hot cups of coffee without lids and drive with them naked, and he got burnt. That was when he got the car, before he met Ted.

Firefly (2002)
Factual error: Jayne doesn't need the suit to fire his gun, because ammunition contains an oxidizer that would allow it to be fired even without oxygen present.
Suggested correction: From a different perspective it's not a factual error. Because Jane shot multiple bullets. It means the gun still can be shot after the space suit case got pierced from the first bullet. So it's a possibility that the characters thought wrong (even though it's a bit silly for space travellers to not know this fact but doesn't mean it won't happen).
