Annie

Visible crew/equipment: When Punjab is remarkably "flying" the toy plane by using his mind and interesting hand movements, when it shows a close up of the floating plane, you can see the string to which it is attached.

Factual error: During the orphans' rendition of "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" Molly is seen with a plastic drink bottle (that makes a plastic-bottle-esque "thunk" when thrown). The movie takes place in 1933, however polyethylene terephthalate (the kind of plastic used for drink bottles) was not developed until 1941.

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Warbucks is talking to Miss Hannigan, he mentions adopting Annie. After the camera angle changes to see her reaction, the folded blue paperwork suddenly appears.

Trivia: Since the mansion used in the movie belongs to Monmouth University, the pool that's in the basement had to be uncovered and converted back as it was and still is being used for administrative offices for the school.

Trivia: Just before the "Little Girls" number, there is a voice on Miss Hannigan's radio saying "I love you, I love you, I love you". This voice is provided by the film's director, John Huston.

Trivia: Despite being shot in the early 80's, the organ that Annie plays on hasn't been functional in some 40+ years.

Orphans: We love you, Miss Hannigan.
Miss Hannigan: Shut up.

Annie: Leaping lizards!

Riley Grigg

Annie: *yelling* Cut it out! I mean it! Do you want Miss Hannigan to come in here!? Go back to bed! *glares up at Pepper* Now, or you'll have me to deal with!
Pepper: Ah, blow it out your old wazoo.

Question: Miss Hannigan knew of the deaths of Annie's parents, but why did she never tell Annie?

Answer: Could be two different reasons. One, she has shown not to care much for the orphans so she didn't care whether Annie knew or not. Two, at the very end it is shown she does have some care for the orphans, shown when she thinks Annie will be killed, so perhaps she had enough heart in her not to break Annie's hopes of her parents coming back to get her.

Question: At the end: Miss Hannigan is seen at the party, but shouldn't she have been arrested along with Lily and Rooster? She was an accomplice to the planning and kidnapping of Annie, so that alone should have got her some sort of punishment.

Answer: No charges were pressed against her due to her attempt to protect Annie from Rooster.

Question: What happened to the orphans at the end of Annie? Did they get adopted with Annie or are they still staying at the orphanage?

Margaux Marie Desantis

Answer: They're still staying at the orphanage, but it seems Mr. Warbucks is helping to fund them and Miss Hannigan has had a change of heart, so it's not so grim.
