Alien Resurrection

Continuity mistake: Ripley kills the alien in the corridor after it has killed the first member of the Betty crew but there is no melting of decks or bulkheads from the creature's acidic blood. Also, the Betty crew seem unaffected by all the acid. (00:46:00)

Revealing mistake: In the underwater scene, Johner fires a grenade launcher at two of the aliens that are following him. Watch closely and you'll see the grenade pass through one of the aliens' head for a few frames without damaging it before exploding. Slow-mo MIGHT be necessary to spot it but ISN'T vital. It's perfectly visible at normal speed.

Revealing mistake: When Hillard throws the basketball at Ripley, you can clearly see the white tape on Ripley's hand which was used to catch the ball. (00:23:10)

Trivia: Sigourney Weaver actually makes the basketball shot. Even though the ball is out of shot for a second, she made the shot with no assistance.

Trivia: In the scene where Ripley discovers the room full of failed clones, she stumbles upon Ripley 7, a hideous, malformed but still living clone. The entire scene after she discovers her ill-fated 'sister' is ripped directly from, and is an homage to, one of the most famous deleted scenes from the original Alien. Ripley finds a long dead Brett and barely living Dallas cocooned in the bowels of the Nostromo, and Dallas asks her in a pathetic, painful voice to kill him. She obliges by using her flamethrower. The scene in Resurrection is almost 100% identical, everything from the design of the flamethrower to the emotional reaction and facial expressions she had in the cut Alien scene.

Trivia: Purvis is one of the human hosts for an alien and it rips through his chest on the betty. On an episode of 'the x-files', the man who plays Purivs plays a scientist who is a human host of an alien which burst through his chest.

Call: I can't believe you did that.
Ripley 8: Did what?
Call: You killed it. It was like killing one of your own kind.
Ripley 8: It was in my way.

Distephano: I thought you were dead!
Ripley 8: Yeah, I get that a lot.

[Ripley is staring at a fork.]
Vriess: Fork.
Ripley: Fuck.

Question: Why was Ripley cloned?

Answer: In Alien 3, Ripley discovers there was an Alien queen embryo growing inside her, so she chose to kill herself. By cloning her, scientist were hoping the Alien queen embryo she had in her at the time of her death would also become cloned, which finally happen after the 8th try. This is also why the Alien queen they extracted from Ripley has some human traits.

Question: If Ripley was operated on and an alien removed a few days ago, how come they have a fully grown queen who is laying eggs, 8 to be precise as there are 8 people who have been ingested and turned into aliens? But later, when most of the crew have ejected successfully or been killed when a hand grenade was thrown into their escape pod along with an alien, one of the scientists says there are 12 more? How can that be?

Chosen answer: Well firstly the queen was probably genetically engineered, like Ripley herself. A few days might be all the time they need to have a fully grown queen created. Secondly the 8 incubated victims were only the latest batch, they had been incubating people with xenomorphs for quite a time I suspect.
