Dr. Jack Michler: Sadly, I must report that the last patient I ever treated, the great lover Don Juan DeMarco, suffered from a romanticism which was completely incurable, and even worse, highly contagious.
Don Juan: There are those that do not believe that a single soul born in heaven can split into twin spirits and shoot like falling stars to earth where over oceans and continents their magnetic forces will finally unite them back into one. Question: I'm unclear about the ending in this film. Was he really Don Juan and the stories he told about his sexual antics are true after all? And was he lying when he said that he really grew up in Queens, etc., just to get out of the hospital?
Question: Are John R. DeMarco, Don Juan, and Dr. Jack (John) Mickler possibly all one individual contemplating romance at an older age? They can be considered the Id, Ego, and Superego of one person, for they all have the same first name. Jack, John, and Juan are all derivatives of John.
