Tron (1982)

Visible crew/equipment: When Alan and Lora go to see Kevin Flynn at his game room they find him playing his videogame 'Space Paranoids'. After he finishes playing, he turns around to talk with Alan and Lora. As they are speaking you can see the microphone coming up from the bottom of the screen. It even hits Kevin Flynn in the hand.

Continuity mistake: Tron sends his memory disk to talk to Alan. After Tron communicates with his user Alan1, Alan sends him back the disk with new data on it to destroy the MCP. When Tron receives the disk it is like a Frisbee, solid on the top and hollow on the bottom. When he receives the disk the hollow part is on the bottom. He holds the disk in front of him and starts talking about "the key to the new order". The shot changes and the disk has been reversed, hollow side toward him and solid side away from him. He did not have time to rotate the disk. (01:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When the MCP informs Sark about Flynn, there's the part where Sark is leaning back with his hands off the console. Around where the MCP says "Acknowledge?" Sark's arms fall to his sides. The shot than cuts to a front view, and his arms are on the handle things. (01:02:04)

Trivia: Just after Tron pulls Flynn up onto the solar sailor, there is a shot of the landscape below. A hidden Mickey Mouse head can be seen in a nod to the Mouse House. (01:12:24)

Trivia: Director Steven Lisberger had several arcade games scattered all around the sets. The cast and crew often had to be called away from them to return to shooting, particularly Jeff Bridges, who would often claim he was "preparing for the next scene" in order to keep playing a bit longer.

Trivia: Shortly after the lightcycles escape from the arena, we cut to Sark who is staring in anger at a blue map. On the right hand side of the map is Pac Man, complete with animation and sounds from the old arcade game.

Ed Dillinger: What's the project you're working on?
Alan Bradley: Well, it's called Tron. It's a security program itself, actually. It monitors all contacts between our system and other systems. It finds anything going on that's not scheduled, it shuts it down. I sent you a memo on it.
Ed Dillinger: Part of the Master Control Program?
Alan Bradley: No, it'll run independently. It can watchdog the MCP as well.

Yori: What good will that do?
Kevin Flynn: I'm gonna jump! It's the only way to help Tron.
Yori: Don't! You'll be de-rezzed.
Kevin Flynn: Don't worry.

Sark: There's nothing special about you. You're just an ordinary program.
Kevin Flynn: So are you, one that should have been erased.
