Factual error: At the end of the movie the 1970 Challenger R/T that is shown crashing into the bulldozers is actually a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro at the time of impact. It's visible for just a few frames, from behind at impact (before exploding) and later as it stands on its nose, after the fire is put out. Note the plain steel wheels, painted silver in the latter shot.
Vanishing Point (1971)
Directed by: Richard C. Sarafian
Starring: Charlotte Rampling, Dean Jagger, Barry Newman, Cleavon Little, Victoria Medlin
Continuity mistake: In most close-up shots of the car's front end, the license plate is visible, but in many high-speed and stunt shots from further away, the plate is missing.
Continuity mistake: When Kowalski says thanks and goodbye to the hippie (who will ride away on the mini-bike), the car is shown parked with one headlamp broken and hanging from its wire. Before and after, there is no such damage.
Super Soul: This radio station was named Kowalski, in honour of the last American hero to whom speed means freedom of the soul. The question is not when's he gonna stop, but who is gonna stop him.
Super Soul: Hey Kowalski, you out there?
Hitchhiker: Patiently. That's the only way to wait for somebody.
