Trivia: Skyfall marks the 50th anniversary of Bond, and there was actually one person who worked on every single official Bond film since the start and to that point. Derek Watkins was a trumpet player and had worked on the score of every official movie since Dr. No, with Skyfall being his last as he died 4 months after the movie was released.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the National Gallery early on in the film where Bond meets Q, there is a line of bench seats they're sitting on. From behind, Bond's coat tail is barely covering the gap between two of the benches. From the front, though, his coat tail is further back, covering the gap almost entirely. (00:37:05)
Deliberate mistake: In the chase through the tube station, Bond and Silva both slide down between the escalators. On the London Underground, this area has hard vertical signs at regular intervals, precisely to prevent people sliding down. (01:31:50)
Continuity mistake: While talking with Severine in the casino bar, Bond gets his martini in a frozen glass. He picks it up, the camera's point of view changes, and the glass is instantly completely unfrozen. (00:57:15)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is drinking Macallan in M's apartment he set the bottle down with the label facing away from us. Next shot has the bottle facing towards us. Final shot and the bottle is back in its original position, with the label away from us again. (00:24:55)
Continuity mistake: As Bond chases Patrice over the rooftops of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul at the start of the film, in the close ups of Daniel Craig his tie can be seen noticeably flapping over his shoulder (as you would expect). But in the long shots with the stuntman it doesn't move about at all, presumably having been fixed in place for safety. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: When Silva gets out of the helicopter at Skyfall, the sky is approaching dark (7 o'clock to 8 o'clock sky). After throwing the grenades in the house and Silva says "Everyone listen to me! Don't you dare touch her, she's mine!" about 50 seconds later, it is suddenly pitch black (11 o'clock to midnight sky). (01:55:25 - 01:56:15)
Continuity mistake: When Silva places the glass of whiskey on the girl's head, the liquid is full to the brim in some shots, or a finger below in others. (01:15:15)
Continuity mistake: When M goes to see Mallory at the start of the film, he pours her a drink and places the bottle on the table with the label facing the camera. The label is off centre and more to the left - when M leaves the bottle has not been moved and the label is still facing the camera, but the label is now more to the right. (00:17:15)
Other mistake: When Bond is being driven back to MI6, there is clear rain on the window. In the angle from above the car, there is no rain visible on the top of the car, meaning that there is rain on the passenger window, but no rain on the car roof. (00:26:45)
Continuity mistake: When Bond returns to MI6, when Bond stops exercising and Tanner leaves the room, Bond has both his arms against the weights. In the next shot, one of his arms is against the weights whilst his other shoulder is now against the other side of the weights. (00:29:05)
Trivia: In Shanghai, Bond spots the painting Woman with Fan, by Amedeo Modigliani. This painting was stolen in real life in 2010. This is similar to the first Bond film, Dr. No, when he comes across the stolen Duke of Wellington painting that had also been stolen in real life just before Dr. No began filming. Woman with Fan also shows up for a brief moment in Spectre.

Answer: Because Bond is fighting to the death with a man who's trying to throw him off a train. He can't exactly step out of the way.
