Continuity mistake: When the cop is dead, he is holding onto his radio with his right hand. When the kid picks up the cop's gun, in the wide shot, the cop's right hand is lying down his waist. (00:41:05)

Character mistake: When Dale and Allison are playing Trivi-Up, Dale rolls the dice and says "Five". However in the next shot the dice shows "One". (00:24:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Dale walks up to the van asking if the are going camping, Chad says they don't want any trouble, you can see the boom mike reflected in the back window of their van. (00:05:10)

Continuity mistake: When the cop walks away after the traffic stop, Dale says "That was weird", Tucker has his hands down. In the next shot Tucker is holding the steering wheel. (00:07:50)

Continuity mistake: When Dale is about to go talk to the girls, Tucker says "Just smile and laugh". When the shot change his hand is suddenly on Dale's shoulder. (00:04:40)

Factual error: When the Sherriff dies, one of the college kids picks up the Sheriff"s gun and shoots himself accidentally, then Chad picks up the gun and fires eleven more times. The gun is a revolver, which only holds six rounds.

Factual error: The movie takes place in West Virginia, but when Allison is looking at bug spray a Calgary flag is visible behind her. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: When Dale is shooting the nail gun at the kids covering behind the Sheriff's jeep, close up shots show the projectiles hitting/shredding the grill and smashing the right side headlight. A couple scenes later the grill and headlight are intact.

Deliberate mistake: When Chad picks up the cop's gun and fires at Dale and Tucker, the bullets hit the wooden wall. Wood doesn't make ricochet sound. (00:41:45)

Continuity mistake: When Tucker ask Dale if he brought the nail gun, Tucker's arm is resting on the floor. In the next shot, Tucker's arm is on his waist. (00:42:55)

Continuity mistake: When the cop and the kid is driving and Chloe jumps in the road in front of them, we see the kid has his hand on the dashboard. When it cuts his hand is on the car door handle. (00:35:50)

Continuity mistake: When the wood chipper stops, Tucker is holding the dead kid's leg in shoulder height. When it cuts he is holding the right leg by his weight as he drops it. (00:31:50)

Continuity mistake: When the kid jumps in to the wood chipper, we see Tucker holding on to the kid's legs. The blood smear on Tucker change between the shots. (00:31:35)

Audio problem: When Dale and Tucker are lying on the floor, Dale says he doesn't like fishing, the shot changes to Tucker saying "You don't like.". The shot is from the side of Tucker, yet it's clear that his mouth isn't moving. (00:42:10)

Plot hole: After Tucker and Dale pulls Allison out of the lake, and Chad comes running to the lake, Chad yells to them. Tucker and Dale are close enough to the shore to hear them, yet they take no notice. (00:17:15)
