Continuity mistake: During the scene by Kirk's parents pool, Kirk is begging his brother not to embarrass him. Dylan turns to put his back against the side of the pool and his left elbow knocks over a beer can. In the next shot, behind Dylan, he is between two upright beer cans.
Continuity mistake: The scene in Molly's apartment when she's pouring wine and the dog is barking, there's a shot of Molly with both glasses full telling Kirk to sit down, then a shot of Kirk asking who should sit, him or the dog, then a shot of Molly pouring the 2nd glass. (00:48:10)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Molly goes through the metal detector in the airport, she is asked by the obnoxious scanner to take her belt off. After she takes her belt off she walks through the detector and you can that she is still wearing the belt.
Other mistake: The airplane interior shots were obviously done in a studio mock-up. On a narrow body plane like that, the ceiling is fairly low but follows the fuselage contour to provide maximum headroom above the aisle. The ceiling shown was very high and flat all the way across.
Revealing mistake: During the scene where Kirk has an "accident" in his pants, the dog goes over to lick the stain. During this seen you can easily notice some sort of beef on the stain, probably to make the dog lick it.
Continuity mistake: After confessing about his "accident" to Molly, Kirk walks away. Keep your eye on Molly in the background. She changes position in the closeup.
Continuity mistake: At the airport when Marnie is chasing him she takes off her shoes at the gateway. When Kirk throws her off the airport "car" she has shoes on again.
Continuity mistake: When Cam meets Kirk for the first time Kirk is sitting at a restaurant. Cam walks up to him and puts his hand on Kirk's back. Switch camera angle and Cam is now two feet away with his arms at his sides.
Suggested correction: When Cam meets Kirk for the first time, Kirk prepares to sit back down at his table, only to have Cam sit down in the chair first. Kirk had left the table to return the sweater to the woman dining at the adjacent table.
Continuity mistake: Molly, played by Alice Eve, in real life has one blue and one green eye. In the movie, there are multiple scenes where she has blue eyes and other scenes where she has one blue and one green. (Forgot color contacts in multiple scenes).
Continuity mistake: When they are playing slap shot regatta in the basement after Molly meets his family, after Kirk makes the winning goal, his brother rips one of his shoes off. In the next shot, both shoes are back on, but then when he storms off in the next shot, the one shoe is back off again.
Continuity mistake: After confessing about his "accident" to Molly, Kirk walks away. While he is talking with his friend the sun changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: The exterior airplane shots show a small commuter jet, which has only two seats on each side of the aisle. The interior shots show a much larger plane with three seats on each aisle, with distinctive Boeing overhead bins and sidewalls.
