Continuity mistake: While Mikaela and Sam are on the phone with each other (after the failed webchat date the night before), when Wheelie starts reaching up for the safe's combination lock in the first shot, there are no mouse traps on the floor near the short stool to his left, nor are there any cigar boxes. However, in the next shot two mouse traps (a snap trap with cheese bait and a glue trap) and two cigar boxes have all suddenly appeared. Wheelie proceeds to step on the two traps and then stands on the two boxes to reach the combination lock.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is in his bedroom, after he finds the Cube sliver it falls and dramatically burns a hole through the floor into the kitchen. But Sam's bedroom is over the living room (there is nothing on the ground floor below Sam's elevated bathroom, and in the first movie Jazz hides in this open space), and the kitchen is actually located between the den and dining room, at the other end of the house. If they were to follow the actual floor plan of the house, the Cube sliver would have landed in the area of the piano in the living room, but where would the fun have been in that?
Continuity mistake: After Mikaela throws the metal box at Alice and breaks the window, when Sam runs out of his dorm room screaming we see (and have seen multiple times prior to this) the wall and bathroom door opposite his door. Oddly enough, in the next shot from the hallway, Sam, Mikaela and Leo are actually leaving from a door that's farther down the hallway. Sam's actual door is the first one on the right, opposite the bathroom door - there is a bike wheel leaning against the wall beside the bathroom door.
Continuity mistake: In Sam's dorm room, there is a white mini fridge at the foot of his bed, flat against the wall under the Cloverfield poster. However, when Sam rushes after Mikaela just as Alice's 'tongue' grabs hold of his neck, that fridge has moved to in front of the closet door, but it moves back to its original position thereafter.

Continuity mistake: The Saturn that Mikaela is driving has a moonroof that encompasses most of the roof, over the front and back seats. When the Decepticon Grindor captures them, in the interior shot looking up at Leo as Grindor seizes the Saturn, the car has a solid roof over Leo, which is also seen in the interior shot as they fall.

Factual error: In the original Transformers, Tyrese Gibson's character is credited as and wears the rank insignia of a USAF Technical Sergeant. In Revenge of the Fallen, set two years later, Gibson's character now wears the insignia of a USAF Chief Master Sergeant, three ranks higher than his rank in the first movie. The USAF would not jump someone three grades into the top 1% of the enlisted force no matter what his heroics or experience (that does not even happen to Medal of Honor awardees). Clearly the screenwriters recognized this as Captain Lennox is bumped only one grade to Major despite his actions in the first film and Gibson's character, as noted in another mistake, is credited as Master Sergeant Epps, a reasonable promotion. The costume department simply got the insignia wrong.
Plot hole: Simmons stands outside the 'The Monastery' at Petra (not to be confused with 'The Al Kazneh' at Petra where Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed) and looks at the horizon, and he is able to see the Air Force landing with Optimus by the pyramids. It then appears to take them mere minutes to drive over there. This is outright laughable, even accepting that they make the trip in an alien robot car. Petra and Cairo are separated by hundreds of miles of desert, not to mention Israel being between Egypt and Jordan.
Factual error: The team go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum's Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Center, which is located adjacent to Dulles Airport in Virginia - surrounded by rolling green hills - to find a Transformer. When Jetfire breaks out of the museum, beyond the broken door is a large, desert airplane graveyard with large mountains in the background. This appears to be the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (309 AMARG), a well known aircraft 'boneyard', located at Davis-Monthan AFB, in Arizona.
Visible crew/equipment: When Ron and Sam are discussing college and girls, in the shot facing Mikaela, as she's airbrushing the design on the motorcycle, the reflection of a crewmember (wearing a blue shirt) holding a reflector screen is visible on the chrome surface at the left, and as the camera pans in closer to her its moving shadow is also visible.
Continuity mistake: During the forest scene where Optimus Prime is engaged in a battle to the death, Sam is scrambling for safety. In some of the shots both of his hands are uninjured, but in other shots you can see that his left hand is bandaged/splinted. (This is a result of his "real life" injury in a car accident during filming.)
Continuity mistake: At the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Mikaela, Sam and Simmons follow Wheelie they reach Jetfire's enclosure with the large information plaque attached to the metal front bar, as Wheelie faces them. Next shot, that whole front horizontal bar is gone along with the information plaque, and Wheelie now faces Jetfire. Then when the Cube shard attaches itself to Jetfire the metal horizontal bar reappears, though the large plaque is still gone, and that bar vanishes once again in the shot from under Jetfire.
Continuity mistake: When the Saturn has been dropped by Grindor, as the car falls with Mikaela, Sam and Leo inside, just before they crash land in the last interior shot, Mikaela's and Sam's headrests have vanished, and a large sticker has also suddenly appeared on Sam's visor in this shot. The headrests reappear when they are upside down.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is at the Frat party just after he has written the code on the table with cake, he goes and gets a drink. The glass is full, the camera cuts to the girl talking and then cuts back to Sam and the glass is nearly empty, cuts to the girl again and then back to Sam, with a full glass again.
Revealing mistake: When the group are outside talking to Jetfire in the aircraft 'boneyard', on the ground in the bottom right of the screen you can see the tyre tracks where the 3 cars are supposed to pull up to join the shot - then the car on the far right stops and pulls forward again till it's at the end of the tyre track.
Continuity mistake: When Sam is on the cell with Mikaela, telling her about the long distance relationship kit, he reaches for the webcam with his right hand outstretched while holding the cell with his left, but in the close-up it's his left hand picking it up, while holding the cell with his right hand.
Factual error: In the scene where Galloway parachutes out of a C-17, Major Lennox asks Galloway if he is "familiar with the standard MC-4" parachute as he is helping Galloway don said parachute. The parachute that actually deploys when Galloway pulls the ripcord is not an MC-4, as MC-4 parachutes have rectangular canopies (shown correctly later in the film as the NEST team descends into the desert).
01:38:20 - 01:40:00
Continuity mistake: The multiple shots of the sinking Aircraft carrier are primarily shots of the CVN 74 (USS John C. Stennis) but also have shots of the CVN 72 (USS Abraham Lincoln) and the CVN 71 (USS Theodore Roosevelt). It is reported later on the news as the Roosevelt, and the Stennis is seen towards the end of the movie perfectly fine and providing air support.
Visible crew/equipment: After Bumblebee has blown up Sam's bathroom and Sam orders him to get in the garage, as Judy shouts, "Holy mother!" the reflections of the moving boom mic and two crewmembers (one wearing blue short sleeves and the other wearing white short sleeves) are visible in the window to the right.
Continuity mistake: When Mikaela phones Sam and says that she's breaking up with him, in the first shot of Sam as he walks down the hallway toward his room there is no curtain in front of the window to the right, but in the second shot as he reaches his room, there are white curtains draped over the windows. Then, when Sam runs into the hallway because of the fire, the curtains are gone again. In fact, the white curtains are actually outside the window - someone had closed the windows over the curtains. The curtains reappear again when he runs back into his room with the extinguisher.
Factual error: When Jetfire uses the "space bridge" to instantaneously move the characters from Washington, D.C. to the Middle East (on the other side of the planet), it was still daylight. 7:30 p.m. (summer closing hours at the museum) in D.C. is 2:30am where they arrived, but it was still broad daylight.
Continuity mistake: In the secret room below the deli's meat locker, when Wheelie explains that the symbols are the "language of the Primes", Sam picks up two photos, but both photos don't just switch hands as stated in another entry, one changes entirely. In the fist shot Sam holds a photo of a jet, but in the close-up he holds a photo of an old plane, then in the following shot it's back to the jet.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where everyone arrives in Egypt, when everyone is standing around Jetfire, there is a wide shot showing everyone and you see Mikaela sitting down wrapping Sam's hand. Then she stands up in that same shot, and it cuts to a close up that shows Mikaela sitting down again wrapping his hand.
Factual error: When Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo are at the border crossing, the flag that is flying is that of Tajikistan, and they were supposedly transported to Egypt. Tajikistan doesn't border either Egypt or Jordan, the two countries that were mentioned. However, the insignia on the berets the soldiers were wearing match that of the Egyptian flag.
Revealing mistake: At the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar, upon finding Jetfire, Wheelie turns and says, "This guy's a legend," and then later Wheelie turns and says, "I tell you, this guy did not age well." These specific CGI frames of Wheelie are the very same frames, and only the background plates (with and without Jetfire) differ.
01:22:40 - 01:23:40Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Sam, Mikaela and Leo arrive at Simmons's deli, in the exterior shot the deli has a single front door with its glass covered, and bars on the store's windows. However, when Sam walks in and when Simmons tries to walk away from Sam, we see there are double front doors with a meat poster on one, and there are no bars outside of the store's window.
01:14:55 - 01:16:30Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Alice and Leo walk in on Sam in the symbol filled dorm room, on the wall at the head of Sam's bed are three small-to-medium sized framed photos of Sam and Mikaela hanging vertically. After Alice pushes Leo out of the room, the frames change. Now there are two large and medium frames hanging vertically and another medium frame hanging horizontally.
Continuity mistake: At the end, in the first aerial shot of the aircraft carrier, only a huge number '7' is imprinted on deck, but after the close-up of Mikaela and Leo there is also a huge number '4' imprinted on deck beside the '7', that is seen as Optimus and Sam stand beside one another.
Continuity mistake: When Sam phones Mikaela after missing their webchat date he drops his books and papers, and one book falls upright on the top stair in front of him, which promptly vanishes and then reappears as the last book he picks up. All the books and papers keep changing in his arms between shots as well.
Visible crew/equipment: At the scene where Optimus Prime's body is getting back to base and suddenly got surrounded by US marines, after the shot where Major Lennox objects and beats on the hood of a Humvee, you can see a cameraman's shadow on him in a panning shot. Some shots later you can see it again on Galloway's body in an over-shoulder view.
Visible crew/equipment: After escaping from Megatron, Sam and company go to a deserted junkyard. When Sam is leaning on the hood and Bumblebee drives forward and flashes his lights, a crew man can be seen in the driver's seat. This has been repeatedly corrected, wrongly, by the excuse that a few Transformers have been seen to create holographic drivers or pilots. This is not inaccurate, but cannot be plausibly applied to this case. (1) Bumblebee has never been seen to do this; in fact, no car-form Autobot has been shown to possess this ability, even in situations where it would seem sensible to do so. (2) There is nobody present who is unaware of Bumblebee's true nature, therefore he would have no reason to suddenly project one. (3) In the shots either side of this, no hologram is present. For the corrections to apply, we would have to accept that Bumblebee, for a matter of a few seconds, chose to display an ability that he's never shown to possess at any other time, in a situation where he has no reason to do so. Clearly this is not a supportable argument. This is a visible crew member and a valid mistake.
Continuity mistake: When Judy is crying over Sam's departure for college, Ron picks up his golf bag and carries it on his shoulder as he tells Judy to go up and pack. In the next shot, facing his back, the golf bag is gone only to reappear in the next shot as Judy goes upstairs.
Continuity mistake: In one scene we're shown a Predator B UAV taking off. This is a shot of an actual Predator B, which is a pusher turboprop. In a later scene we come back to the Predator, now on site, in a CG shot. The CG model is some kind of mutant Predator with a turbojet - no prop at all. This is the same mutant CG model used in TF1, but here it is a continuity error with the real shots.
Factual error: When the Decepticons are reviving Megatron, General Morshower states something like "coming up from 9,000 fathoms". 9,000 fathoms is approximately 16,000 meters. The Laurentian Abyss, where it was stated in the first movie that Megatron was dropped, is around 6,000 meters deep.
Continuity mistake: When Alice is kissing Sam on the bed there is a fan in the window beside the Bad Boys poster. It is there when she grabs him with her 'tongue'. When Mikaela returns and throws the metal box, it just breaks glass in that window frame, and we see the fan is suddenly sitting on the bed leaning against the Bad Boys poster, to the left of the window.
Continuity mistake: When Mikaela's car is carried by a Decepticon helicopter, they are dropped in the building and there's a shot showing the airbags activating, but in the following shots (when the car stops moving or when they are getting out) the airbags are nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: Just after Jetfire sacrifices himself, Ratchet orders Jolt to electrify, and we see Sam and Mikaela standing near Ratchet, but in the next shot when the Transformer's parts are flying towards Optimus, Sam is now a couple of feet away helping Mikaela stand up again.
Factual error: Right after the title the location moves to Shanghai, China and you see a train of a few oxide-red hoppers. One of them is lettered for the Missouri Pacific railroad, with the Mo-Pac eagle logo visible. Another hopper is lettered for Conrail. These American train cars would not be in China.
Continuity mistake: While we're repeatedly shown map views of the region while events are taking place in Jordan and Egypt, and characters even say things like they're "five klicks" (kilometers) from the water during the battle, things cover distance impossibly fast. For example, we're shown M-1 Abrams tanks being landed ashore by LCACs (Landing Craft Air Cushion), but just seconds later they're on site, engaging the Decepticons. This does not appear to be a time-lapse in the film itself, as we're shown the battle unfolding in what appears to be real-time. And that's ignoring that the pyramids, around which the battle is taking place, are really roughly 140 kilometers from the tip of the water. Even the closest point is around 120km from the water to pyramids.
Continuity mistake: During the shot where Mikaela runs into the lamp post, both the Pretender and the front bumper slide under the car as she backs up and drives forward again. Seconds later, as the camera angle changes and they drive away, the front bumper is re-attached with only a dent where it hit the post.
Continuity mistake: When Judy goes upstairs to pack after finding the baby booties, behind Ron there is a chair at the head of the dining room table, in front of the box he just taped. Then, just before Ron says, "Your mother and I are really proud of you," that chair has vanished, only to reappear when Judy shouts that she's crying again.
Continuity mistake: When the Cube sliver burns through the floor and falls onto the kitchen table, in the overhead shot there is a red stool on the side of the table (bottom of screen) with the bowl of cereal, but as the appliances transform that stool is at the wall beside the doorway. It reappears beside the table a few shots later, as the transformed blender jumps on it.
Continuity mistake: At NEST headquarters in Diego Garcia, when Galloway arrives holding up the Presidential order document, in the shot from behind him as he walks through the front gate, the booth is to his right (viewer's right) and the vehicle to his left (viewer's left), but in the shot facing him the booth is to his left (viewer's right) and the vehicle is to his right (viewer's left).
Factual error: During the credits, Tyrese Gibson's character is listed as USAF Master Sergeant Epps. However, throughout the whole movie, Gibson is seen wearing the sleeve chevrons of a CHIEF Master Sergeant. Chief Master Sergeant is the highest rank an enlisted person can hold and is NEVER referred to either verbally or in writing as Master Sergeant. Master Sergeant is a different (lower) rank.
Continuity mistake: During the scene establishing the Decepticons on the Bayos freight ship, vehicles change. The first shot, overhead, shows Long Haul (green dump truck), MixMaster (grey cement truck), Rampage (red bulldozer), and Scrapper (yellow front loader with wheels). The next shot shows Rampage as being yellow, and Scrapper is now some yellow Volvo vehicle with treads and a claw. Also, by the angle of this shot and based on the previous shot, there would not be an angle to see through the background vehicles. In the next shot, when the transformers jump overboard, Rampage is red again, and the Volvo with treads is now the front loader Scrapper again.
Continuity mistake: When The Fallen decrees that the Decepticons will now make their presence known, one of them knocks the flagpole off the top of the eastern tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. A short time later, another shot of the tower shows the flagpole is back and there is no damage.
Plot hole: In the beginning of the film the Fallen is nearly barely able to live. Jetfire explains that without Energon, Transformers will "oxidize and rust, like my wretched self!". But after Optimus dies, the Fallen is suddenly able to do serious combat. Where did he get that new energy from, when The Matrix of Leadership is said to be the only remaining source of Energon?
Revealing mistake: In one of the first scenes with Devastator 'inhaling' everything in sight, there is an SFX shot of some random bystander hanging on for dear life, then losing his grip and being sucked in. During this shot you can see the matte halo around the person as they flail and 'fall'. It is especially noticeable given the general high quality of the effects in the film: by contrast this looks like a cheap effects shot from an old movie.
Factual error: Mikaela hotwires the silver Saturn Astra at the attack at the university. Firstly, she doesn't break the physical steering lock, and secondly, this is impossible to hotwire. It requires a signal from a chip in the ignition key that transmits the signal to the ECU to enable the car to start.
Continuity mistake: When Sam rushes back to his dorm room, he paints the first symbol on the Bad Boys poster, then rips the top poster off the wall and paints large symbols on the wall in its place. That poster remains gone in all the following shots except for two, where it is back on the wall above the Bad Boys poster. First when Sam knocks over the microwave and then when Alice fully transforms on Sam's bed.
Continuity mistake: At the frat party, when Sam uses the cake frosting to write the symbols, in the first shot he writes the first symbol with perpendicular lines aligned with the cake's edge. In a following shot showing more frosting symbols, the original two lines have changed shape and position - none of the symbols are aligned with the cake's edge.
Continuity mistake: When Sam meets Leo in the dorm room, the bike near the window is not chained/padlocked to the metal bed frame springs. However, when Leo complains about Robo-Warrior the bike is chained/padlocked to the bed frame, but when Sam's parents walk in it's not again. Additionally, the bed frame moves from being in front of the window closer to the corner, to being directly in front of the window fan.
00:25:40 - 00:27:45
Revealing mistake: When the battle between Optimus and Megatron first begins, Optimus pulls a dead tree out of the ground, without branches and needles but still standing upright in its basic conical shape, and uses it to beat Megatron. The latter one deflects the attack by pushing it into another tree, the one where Sam in covering behind. When it hits that particular tree, you can see that the end of the tree is perfectly straight, as if it was cut by a saw rather than pulled out of the ground.
Continuity mistake: Optimus knocks over Megatron, and collides with the Fallen, knocking him off of the pyramid. But in the next shot where Optimus blows up the machine with a single shot, the Fallen is nowhere to be seen, and in the shot directly afterwards, he is right below Optimus.
Continuity mistake: After Sam's rescue from the Decepticon doctor's brain surgery, when Optimus transforms we see Sam rolling on the ground near the trees and in the next shot he gets up and runs behind the trees as Optimus shouts, "Hide, Sam!" However, in the next shot Sam is still rolling on the ground.
Continuity mistake: When Jetfire tries to leave the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar and says, "I command these doors to open," there is a shot of Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo standing at the tip of what was Jetfire's enclosure bars, looking up, a bit to their right as if Jetfire was directly in front of them. In the next shot Jetfire, who is way down at the end of the hangar, breaks down the door and heads out. Next shot, they're all still looking up in the very same direction, even though they should be looking all the way to their right, straight ahead into the distance.
Continuity mistake: After Jetfire's transformation, when he snipes, "You little spinal-cord-based organisms," he knocks the Mercury capsule and it falls. In the shot facing Jetfire, as it rolls toward Sam and the others, Jetfire is no longer standing within his enclosure, he is actually to the left of it. However, in the next shot as the Mercury capsule rolls toward Sam, the teenager is standing directly in front of the enclosure's bars.
Continuity mistake: At the aircraft 'boneyard', Sam uses a dagger to carve a huge circle of symbols into the ground, and in the first close-up Sam finishes up a specific symbol at the top of the circle, sticks the dagger in the dirt and stands up. In the next overhead wideshot, Sam is not only still kneeling and then stands up again, but he was actually kneeling at a different symbol located at the bottom of the circle.
Continuity mistake: As Jetfire transforms, Simmons orders everyone to hide by the Mig, and as they run to it the tall lighting pole is positioned in the open area between Jetfire's enclosure and two red-trimmed glass showcases. But when Jetfire begins to ask, "What sort of hideous mausoleum is this?" that tall pole is now between the two showcases and there are metal posts with red rope suddenly surrounding it. Then when Jetfire breaks out of the hangar, the lighting pole and metal posts have all vanished.
Continuity mistake: When Devastator is sucking up the vehicles and structures at the construction site, the large camper's exterior is pulled off, leaving only the frame as the camper is pulled forward, but a few shots later, in an overhead wideshot that camper is still intact and straight, as Mudflap and Skids stand firm.
Continuity mistake: In Egypt, when Sam says, "We got cops!" they're at a fork in the road, and with two police cars heading towards them from the left of the 'fork', Sam drives to the right of the 'fork'. However, in the next shot, the two police cars are driving past Bumblebee and the twins on the very same road, just before the police cars make their U-turns.
Continuity mistake: When Bumblebee is battling Rampage, there's a close-up of Bumblebee as he dramatically drops his yellow faceplate over his face. In the next shot, Sam is on the ground in front of the car on its side (Rampage overturned it moments before). Problem is in the next shot Mikaela is also in front of that very same car, but Sam is gone, and she wasn't seen in the previous shot of Sam either.
Revealing mistake: When Sam is standing on the stairs with his hands up, just before Megatron grabs him and throws him onto the table for the 'Doctor', the rail and balusters in front of Sam have been set up to easily break for the stunt - note the short diagonal bits of wood propped up between them, precisely where they break for the grab.
Character mistake: In the original Transformers, the final battle takes place in a fictional city known as Mission City, which according to Lennox is 22 miles away from the Hoover Dam, putting it close to Las Vegas. However, when Sam is in his dorm room, it's stated that the battle was in LA.
Continuity mistake: When the Decepticons dive into the ocean to retrieve Megatron they are immediately spotted by a Navy submarine. The crew is reporting "five contacts" at this point. At the ocean ground they resurrect Megatron by killing one of their own mates and using its parts. After that they head back with Megatron to the surface. The crew is now observing "six hostiles" even though they left the killed Decepticon behind.
00:39:00 - 00:41:00BBPresident
Continuity mistake: After Judy goes upstairs to pack, as Ron has a heart to heart with Sam, the dogs jump onto the couch and there are striped and patterned pillows beside Mojo. When Ron says, "Mojo, no dominating Frankie," the striped pillow is gone from that side of the couch.
Factual error: In the opening of the Shanghai scene, there's a helicopter in the scene of the transformers fight. The helicopter has words on it meaning "police" in Chinese. But Shanghai use "Gong An," not the "Jing Tsa" seen here. Both of them mean police, but different words are used in China than in other Asia countries.
Revealing mistake: During the battle in Egypt, while Sam is down, there is a slow-motion shot from above with a UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter flying under the camera. The helicopter is bright white with high-visibility red and yellow stripes, and you can see "White Sands Missile Range" painted on both sides of the body of the chopper in the view from above. It appears to be a UH-1H SAR (Search And Rescue) chopper from White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico: the colors and markings match.
Continuity mistake: When Lennox is trying to revive Sam, there is a close-up of the sock starting to slip out of Sam's grasp, but it's still in his hand. Then when the medics are using the paddles on Sam, clearly there is nothing in his bandaged hand. The problem is that there is another close-up of Sam's hand, after Mikaela professes her love, and the sock is still there in Sam's hand before it dramatically falls (it's the same close-up angle as the previous shot).
Continuity mistake: At NEST headquarters in Diego Garcia, when Optimus points his finger at Galloway and says, "We've witnessed your human capacity for war," both of Lennox's arms are up and crossed in front of him, then they're down and clasped behind him, and then back to crossed in front of him, between shots.
Continuity mistake: In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Seymour Simmons (John Turturro) calls in coordinates of the Daggers Tip from a pay phone. He says the coordinates are 29.5 North by 34.88 East. Later, when a young soldier shows General Morshower a note containing the coordinates from Major Lennox, the paper says 29.5 North by 35.88 East. A difference of one degree of latitude would translate into about a 69 mile error.
Factual error: The Autobots/N.E.S.T. base is said to be on Diego Garcia, a real military base in the Indian Ocean. The island in the movie is not D.G. The movie version appears to have hills and sparse vegetation, the real island's a tropical climate, and the highest point is about 22ft above sea level.
Continuity mistake: When Megatron sarcastically asks Sam, "You remember me, don't you?" Sam stops on the landing between the two flights of stairs and puts his hands up, but in the next shot Sam, whose hands are still in mid-air, is standing much farther down on the second flight of stairs.
Revealing mistake: When Major Lennox is being sustained by Galloway and Master Sergeant Epps says that he's an "Asssshole!", you can see bunch of soldiers and Autobots in the shot. Sunlight is almost in the middle of the shot; the problem is just the body of the soldiers blocks it. If you watch it closely you can see first a soldier with hat blocks sunlight, after that an Autobot should block it but it doesn't. Again a soldier comes from left to right and blocks it and after that an Autobot should have blocked it, but still you can see the sunlight.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning when they're in China, the NEST team is moving on a Decepticon reading and it should be right in front of them. There's an overhead shot and a shot looking into the concrete tubes to where the very large Decepticon is, but you can't see its vehicle form at all until it starts transforming and attacking the troops.
Continuity mistake: When Sam and Mikaela are in the evening desert scene the night before the big fight, Mikaela has a cream colored spaghetti strapped top on. When the scene cuts back to them, she now has a black spaghetti strapped number with a black scarf around her shoulders. Cut back, and the beige shirt has returned.
Visible crew/equipment: As Simmons and Leo are driving in Skids (the green Autobot) through the desert and Simmons says "One man betrayed by the country he loves" and Leo says "Stop saying that, oh my goodness, I'm in the car, you're not alone", there are two white screens visible in Simmons' glasses.
Add timeCasual Person
Continuity mistake: When Jetfire says ''A living Prime! I don't believe it!'', he is leaning on a blue wall. When The fallen arrives moments later to steal the Matrix, Jetfire is nowhere near the wall, while at the rate he is crawling, it would take some considerable time to cover any distance.
Continuity mistake: When Optimus transforms at the NEST headquarters, Galloway, Epps and a third soldier are watching that form the ground. But when Epps says: "Gotta wonder. if God made us in his image. who made him?", the third soldier, who was standing behind Galloway and Epps instantly disappears.
Revealing mistake: After Galloway says: ''You just signed the death warrant on your career major'', we get an exterior shot of the C17 banking sharp to the right, at an angle of nearly 60 degrees. But in the following shot on the inside of the plane, everyone is still standing, and Lennox and Galloway haven't even moved.
Continuity mistake: When Alice and Sam are driving away from the party in Bumblebee after she gets squirted with "fluid", we see that they are driving down a city block. Each subsequent shot out the side windows from inside the car show distant blurry lights - not buildings we should be seeing.
Continuity mistake: Just after Jetfire's transformation, when he shouts, "Answer me, pawns and knaves!" he pushes the yellow Naval sea-plane (44), which hangs from the ceiling, out of the way. First problem is that we see it breaking apart and hear it crashing, yet we don't see any pieces anywhere in following shots. Second, when Wheelie mentions that Jetfire hasn't aged well, that sea-plane is back up where it was.
Continuity mistake: At the start of Bumblebee and Rampage battling it out, Rampage knocks a car over onto its side (perpendicular to the car that's beside Ron and Judy). A few shots after the close-up of Bumblebee dropping his yellow faceplate over his face, that car gets overturned again behind Mikaela, though in between there are shots of the car already on its side. That car is down yet again when Bumblebee is attacked by Ravage, and then on its side again when Sam pulls Mikaela by her hand.
Continuity mistake: When Leo is freaking out in the back seat of the car, Simmons, who is in the front seat, pulls out the taser to use on Leo and holds it in his left hand as he turns around. Yet in Leo's close-up, as he's being zapped, the taser is in Simmons's right hand, but next shot the taser is back in his left hand.
Continuity mistake: After Leo uses the taser on the security guard in the bathroom, the guard is sprawled out on the floor with his left arm lying beside him and the TP roll above his arm, but next shot the guard's arm is up parallel to his shoulder, with the TP roll now between his arm and torso.
Continuity mistake: When Leo walks out of the bathroom with his pants down saying, "Ran out of toilet paper, you got any out here?", the security guard behind him is walking towards him, at the right of the airplane. Next shot that security guard behind him is to the left of the airplane.
Continuity mistake: Before heading into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, when Simmons pulls the taser out of his bag and turns it on he holds it in his right hand, but in Leo's close-up as he starts to freak out, the taser's in Simmons's left hand, then it's back in Simmons's right hand, between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Optimus is shot in the battle in the forest, he loses one of the chrome bumpers on his chest, and the other one is heavily damaged. The latter one is attached to HIS right side. But in the shot where he says: ''Sam. run.'', the bumper is attached to the left side of his chest.
