Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Factual error: When Jetfire uses the "space bridge" to instantaneously move the characters from Washington, D.C. to the Middle East (on the other side of the planet), it was still daylight. 7:30 p.m. (summer closing hours at the museum) in D.C. is 2:30am where they arrived, but it was still broad daylight. (01:26:33 - 01:27:12)

JayK

Continuity mistake: In the scene where everyone arrives in Egypt, when everyone is standing around Jetfire, there is a wide shot showing everyone and you see Mikaela sitting down wrapping Sam's hand. Then she stands up in that same shot, and it cuts to a close up that shows Mikaela sitting down again wrapping his hand. (01:27:45)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In Egypt, the protagonists are being chased by the police. At first the cops are driving an Alfa-Romeo 164. A moment later they are driving a Peugeot 405s. (01:32:00)

Whitehouse

Visible crew/equipment: In Egypt, in the exterior shot just before Sam says, "We got cops!" the moving shadow of the filming vehicle is visible on the ground and on Sam's car, as it's driving alongside. (01:32:21)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In Egypt, when Sam says, "We got cops!" they're at a fork in the road, and with two police cars heading towards them from the left of the 'fork', Sam drives to the right of the 'fork'. However, in the next shot, the two police cars are driving past Bumblebee and the twins on the very same road, just before the police cars make their U-turns. (01:32:24)

Super Grover

Revealing mistake: When Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo are being pursued by the police in Egypt, one of the police cars slams into a parked red car. This shot has been flipped. Note that the driver is on the right side, whereas in other shots the drivers are on the left. (01:32:44)

Super Grover

Factual error: When Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo are at the border crossing, the flag that is flying is that of Tajikistan, and they were supposedly transported to Egypt. Tajikistan doesn't border either Egypt or Jordan, the two countries that were mentioned. However, the insignia on the berets the soldiers were wearing match that of the Egyptian flag. (01:33:00)

Sally Joelson

Continuity mistake: Seymour Simmons (John Turturro) calls in coordinates of the Daggers Tip from a pay phone. He says the coordinates are 29.5 North by 34.88 East. Later, when a young soldier shows General Morshower a note containing the coordinates from Major Lennox, the paper says 29.5 North by 35.88 East. A difference of one degree of latitude would translate into about a 69 mile error. (01:33:51 - 01:40:38)

1hamburger1

Factual error: When Simmons asks the border patrol for the way to the Gulf of Akaba's "dagger's tip", because he suspects the whereabouts of the Matrix of Leadership at the border of Jordan and Egypt, the road block officer has been given an impossible task, because Egypt does not border Jordan. There is a small slip of land and the city of Eilat in between, and Eilat is in Israel. (01:35:27)

Factual error: In the scene where Galloway parachutes out of a C-17, Major Lennox asks Galloway if he is "familiar with the standard MC-4" parachute as he is helping Galloway don said parachute. The parachute that actually deploys when Galloway pulls the ripcord is not an MC-4, as MC-4 parachutes have rectangular canopies (shown correctly later in the film as the NEST team descends into the desert). (01:38:20 - 01:40:00)

Revealing mistake: After Galloway says: ''You just signed the death warrant on your career major'', we get an exterior shot of the C17 banking sharp to the right, at an angle of nearly 60 degrees. But in the following shot on the inside of the plane, everyone is still standing, and Lennox and Galloway haven't even moved. (01:39:30)

Plot hole: Simmons stands outside the 'The Monastery' at Petra (not to be confused with 'The Al Kazneh' at Petra where Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed) and looks at the horizon, and he is able to see the Air Force landing with Optimus by the pyramids. It then appears to take them mere minutes to drive over there. This is outright laughable, even accepting that they make the trip in an alien robot car. Petra and Cairo are separated by hundreds of miles of desert, not to mention Israel being between Egypt and Jordan. (01:45:18 - 01:46:35)

Continuity mistake: When Leo is freaking out in the back seat of the car, Simmons, who is in the front seat, pulls out the taser to use on Leo and holds it in his left hand as he turns around. Yet in Leo's close-up, as he's being zapped, the taser is in Simmons's right hand, but next shot the taser is back in his left hand. (01:46:55)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In one scene we're shown a Predator B UAV taking off. This is a shot of an actual Predator B, which is a pusher turboprop. In a later scene we come back to the Predator, now on site, in a CG shot. The CG model is some kind of mutant Predator with a turbojet - no prop at all. This is the same mutant CG model used in TF1, but here it is a continuity error with the real shots. (01:50:33 - 02:04:26)

MegaZone

Audio problem: We get a shot of a Predator drone taking off, and it is driven by a propeller. However, it makes the sound of a plane with a jet engine. (01:50:33)

Friso94

Visible crew/equipment: As Simmons and Leo are driving in Skids (the green Autobot) through the desert and Simmons says "One man betrayed by the country he loves" and Leo says "Stop saying that, oh my goodness, I'm in the car, you're not alone", there are two white screens visible in Simmons' glasses. (01:51:02)

Casual Person

Visible crew/equipment: Near the end, when the Devastator is being transformed from the cement mixer, crane, bulldozer etc., the cement mixer with the Decepitcons' emblem stops abruptly and the stunt driver can be seen being thrown back into his seat. (01:53:13)

ferretflucy

Continuity mistake: When Devastator is sucking up the vehicles and structures at the construction site, the large camper's exterior is pulled off, leaving only the frame as the camper is pulled forward, but a few shots later, in an overhead wideshot that camper is still intact and straight, as Mudflap and Skids stand firm. (01:56:55)

Super Grover

Revealing mistake: In one of the first scenes with Devastator 'inhaling' everything in sight, there is an SFX shot of some random bystander hanging on for dear life, then losing his grip and being sucked in. During this shot you can see the matte halo around the person as they flail and 'fall'. It is especially noticeable given the general high quality of the effects in the film: by contrast this looks like a cheap effects shot from an old movie. (01:57:35)

MegaZone

Megatron: Is the future of our race not worth a single human life?
Optimus Prime: You'll never stop at one... I'll take you all on!

Trivia: When Sam and Mikaela are running through the pillars to meet up with Optimus Prime there is a Decepticon that almost gets his head blown off. If you slow it down frame by frame on his right arm is says T1000. A little play on the Terminator. (DVD commentary.) (02:07:25)

Question: Sam says that the Energon source is before the Autobots. So to find it they need to talk to a Decepticon. Wheelie is the first one at hand, but how does he know about the source, let alone the Seekers, what they look like and where they are? He doesn't look like he is as old as Jetfire, and as he puts it, "Nobody tell me nothin".

Friso94

Chosen answer: He knows from stories passed down to him from older generations of bots, not much unlike stories about the past passed down to us from our ancestors. His line about no one telling him anything is just a way to avoid being put back in the box or being tortured by Mikayla.
