Continuity mistake: Watch the way the bloke at the beginning is holding the snake. Every time the camera shows him from behind, he has one hand by its head, yet each time the angle changes to the front, his hand is halfway down the snake's body. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: When predicting Bond's arrival the card with the ship moves between shots in relation to the orange card with the man. (00:12:50)
Continuity mistake: After Bond is picked up by the taxi at the airport in New York, Whisper in the "white pimpmobile", as Felix Leiter puts it, shoots the taxi driver in the head. The car then swerves from the second-left lane on the road to the very left lane. But in the next shot of Bond's head you can see through the rear window that there is a car on the left side of the taxi, indicating that the car is still in the second-left lane. In the next shot the taxi is back in the very left lane. (00:15:00)
Continuity mistake: The scene where Bond leaves the voodoo shop to tail the car. He hails a cab. As the cab draws up, we briefly see the cabbie in the front, who does not have long sideburns/mutton chops. However, shortly afterwards when the cabbie starts talking to Bond, and we see him more, it is a different actor (Arnold Williams), who has noticeably long sideburns. The driver has changed. Continuity mistake: When Tee Hee appears from the meeting room in Mr Big's apartment, the doors to the meeting room open twice between shots. (00:24:25)
Continuity mistake: When Tee Hee is about to bend the barrel of Bond's Walther PPK, he has his index finger on the trigger guard of the gun, but the next shot shows him holding the gun with all his fingers around the handle. (00:24:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the alley behind Filet of Soul, where Bond is saved by Strutter, the position of the right arm of the unconscious/dead goon in the light leather coat moves between shots. (00:27:10)
Continuity mistake: After Bond has killed the snake with the aerosol can in his hotel bathroom, he puts down the cigar he is smoking next to the sink. When he hears the door opening, he walks into the bedroom and the cigar is back in his mouth again. (00:34:40)
Suggested correction: Watch the scene a bit closer. After he sets the cigar down, he puts aftershave on his hand and rubs it on his face, then sets the can back down. As he starts to walk, you can see him reach towards the sink again. This is where he would have picked the cigar up off screen. Then, just as he is placing his hand on the light switch, watch closely in the next shot, and the cigar is in his other hand where he picked it up. He shoves it in his mouth before acting on the silhouette on the door.
Continuity mistake: On the beach, when Bond shows the card to Rosie, the way he holds it differs between shots: his fingers stand out or not, depending on the shot. (00:40:20)
Continuity mistake: After James lands with his hang glider on the island, he turns his jacket inside-out. There are no lapels. When he sits in Solitaire's chair, there are big lapels. (00:49:05)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is playing with Solitaire's cards at her house, the position of the cards changes between shots. (00:49:15)
Continuity mistake: When Bond fans out the (fake) card deck to Solitaire, the card-fan changes between shots. (00:50:10)
Continuity mistake: After Bond has finished ripping the wings off the Cessna and parks up, he speaks to the old female pilot, and in doing so, the camera shows that the wings behind her head are still intact, when they were already ripped off at this point. (01:06:25 - 01:07:05)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is secured to the chair just before Kananga reveals himself, Teehee has his claw hand at a 90 degree angle in the shot of them both from the side. The very next shot in front, focused more on Bond, has Teehee's arm down by his side. (01:11:45)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is on the small isle in the crocodile pond, one of the crocodiles begins to climb the rock. Cut to Bond and then back at the crocodile who has now turned into an alligator. In the next shot it is once again a crocodile. (01:24:40)
Continuity mistake: While Bond is in the boat chase, after his boat engine gets shot, he beaches it into a grassy area. The men in the boat chasing him slide up on the bank all the way into a swimming pool and Bond gets out of his boat to go steal a different one. As the henchmen's boat comes to a stop in the pool, you can see them start to stand up and point their guns towards Bond. Then the shot changes to Bond driving off in his new boat and past them, and they are again starting to stand up to point guns. (01:31:20)
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene when several men in boats are chasing Bond in a boat, one of the bad guys steals a black speedboat from the Sheriff's brother-in-law. The bottom of the black speedboat collects white scuff marks as the chase continues, but the scuffs increase and decrease erratically, indicating that the sequences were not shot in the order we see in the film. Continuity mistake: When approaching Solitaire, the voodoo priest's grip on the snake changes between shots. (01:44:15)
Continuity mistake: When the guy with the snake is shot, Baron Samedi reappears and you can distinctly see the bloke holding the snake again. (01:47:00)
