Other mistake: The date on the surveillance footage from the camera in the Russian Embassy says 01.05.08, implying that it is either January or May (depending on which date notation is being used, American mm.dd.yy or Russian dd.mm.yy). However, it is fall/autumn outside, as there are dead leaves everywhere. And when Katie calls Harry we can see that his cell phone shows 17/9/08. (00:48:00)

Burn After Reading (2008)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Joel Coen, Ethan Coen
Starring: Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton
The Russians send Chad (Brad Pitt) to Osbourne Cox's (John Malkovich) house to get more information. While he is there, Harry (George Clooney) arrives and sees him. Panicked, he shoots Chad in the head. Thinking he's being stalked, he dumps the body. After a while, Harry finds out his wife is cheating on him. He tells this to Linda (Frances McDormand) who, in turn, confides in him that her friend Chad disappeared a few days ago. Realizing this is the same Chad he killed, Harry runs away. Osbourne Cox finds out his wife (Tilda Swinton) is taking all his money. He breaks into his house and finds Linda's co-worker (Richard Jenkins) there, who just went there to find Linda. Cox chases him outside and chops him up with a hatchet. The CIA sees this and they shoot Cox. Linda also gets busted and tells them she'll only confess if they give her the money for her plastic surgery, clearly trying to pull the same scheme that started this whole mess.....

Chad Feldheimer: Osbourne Cox? I thought you might be worried... About the security... Of your shit.
Trivia: The "sex-chair" that George Clooney builds is based on something the Coen Brothers had heard about from a crew-member on one of their first films. He also built a similar sex-chair by hand after being disgusted by the cost of a pre-built one.
