Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)

Continuity mistake: When Trevor and Sean climb out of the lagoon, they realise Hannah is still underwater so Trevor dives back in to rescue her. When he retrieves her from the water and they all scramble back onto the rocks, Trevor leans his head back onto his backpack. In the next shot his head is now resting on the rocky shore below his backpack. (00:38:10)

Continuity mistake: When Trevor is fighting off the carnivorous plants that are attacking him and holding Hannah hostage, in one shot we see him punch into the mouth of one plant, causing his hand to become entirely covered in a sticky goo. In the following shots however, the same hand is now clean. (01:01:55)

Continuity mistake: As Trevor frantically cleans up his lounge area, he starts picking up plates and foil takeaway dishes, collects them all and places them on a shelf. But in the next shot all the plates/tins have suddenly appeared on the central table in the lounge. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: When Trevor gets home from work and sits down in his lounge, between shots the sheets hanging over the chair he is sitting on change and items (such as a stack of books, newspaper, etc) suddenly appear on the radiator behind him. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: As Trevor and Hannah and the boy are traveling up the volcano on the cushion of steam, Trevor's arm constantly changes position instantly with different shots. Sometimes his arm is across Hannah's chest, then it's under her head, and back across her chest.

Continuity mistake: When the Italian farmer starts to shout, Trevor raises his right arm to comfort Hannah. In the next shot it's down, and he doesn't raise it until much later.

Continuity mistake: After leaving the lagoon area and exploring the rest of the 'Center of the Earth', the size and appearance of the wet patches on everyone's clothes, especially on the front of Trevor's jumper, continue to change from smaller to larger to darker and lighter, etc. (00:42:45 - 00:45:00)

Continuity mistake: Trevor falls a short distance to the floor after Hannah cuts his harness ropes with a knife. After he hits the floor and the ropes fall onto him, between shots the ropes laying all over his body and face keep moving, disappearing and appearing. (00:26:40)

Continuity mistake: When Hannah is tending to Trevor and Sean as guests in her house, she brings three mugs over and places them on the table. Between shots the three mugs swap their places; you can easily see this by comparing them in relation to the book sitting next to them. (00:15:20)

Continuity mistake: When Sean is jumping across the floating magnetic rocks, as he jumps on the one that begins to flip him around twice, as he is flipped round the first time, it causes his small black utility belt (with the pocketknife and phone pouch) to fall off his waist, down into the abyss. In the following scenes moments later though, the same pouch/belt can be seen on his waist. (01:05:15)

Continuity mistake: After Trevor and the others are submerged in the water they have soaked everything, but the book is intact and dry moments after that.

Continuity mistake: Trevor is saved from falling down a cliff and sees a sign covered in dust. He gives it to Hannah and in the close-up most of the dust is gone.

Continuity mistake: The Italian farmer runs fast to see the crash. When the angle changes he's moved several meters behind where he was standing, and is now walking.

Continuity mistake: While crashing against the vineyards, the amount of grapes stain on all of the 3 guys' faces is not continuous between shots. It appears/disappears randomly.

Continuity mistake: After exiting the volcano, the group starts to fall down and they all shout in desperation. Then it cuts to a close-up where the cry is faintly heard, but none of them are shouting.

Continuity mistake: When the kid gives the diamond to the Italian man, the way the farmer holds it differs between shots.

Continuity mistake: After Trevor is saved from falling down a cliff, the way Hannah holds the No entry sign differs between shots.

Continuity mistake: Trevor arrives at the lab and Leonard has made a popsicle. The amount of ice on it increases or decreases randomly between shots.

Continuity mistake: After having flown up the volcano, and they start falling, while still lying in the T-Rex jaw, they should have been weightless, but they still lie down.

Continuity mistake: The black hose next to Leonard swaps from stiff to bent down between shots.
