Kindergarten Cop

Continuity mistake: After the kindergarten class have finished their speech, the little kid who spoke last turns around and begins to jump up and down. When the shot changes as the principal starts to speak, he is facing the front, standing perfectly still.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kimble says to the class "we're gonna play a game: who is my daddy, and what does he do ", a white tape marker is visible on the carpet, to the left of Kimble's chair. (00:35:40)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where John and Phoebe arrive in Oregon, it's raining. When we see the two in the car, the wipers are on, yet not a single drop of rain hits the windshield. The only rain on the windshield are drops that are just out of reach of the wipers. (00:18:38)

Continuity mistake: When Kimble grabs Crisp and throws him onto a table, a coffee cup gets knocked over and rolls off the table. In the next shot it is now on the table and upright. (00:13:30)

Other mistake: When Det. Kimble comes out of the school on the stretcher, we see all his class gathered by his side yet still next to the school. Standard FEMA operating procedures (and common sense) would have had the kids far away from the school and not standing near the entrance emergency workers are actively using to get the fire under control.

Other mistake: The toy store manager has his assistant gift wrap an empty box. The race car set is still on the table fully assembled.

Suggested correction: The manager brings the box to the counter and tells the assistant to gift wrap the box, but we don't actually see what happens in the store after Crisp leaves. There is no indication how much time has passed. It is plausible that the manager brought the box to the assistant and told them to gift wrap it, but that the assistant knows they will also have to disassemble the toy and put it in the box first. We don't ever see the car set still in the window after the customer leaves so we can't assume the assistant wrapped an empty box.

Continuity mistake: When Kimble walks into the salon, to arrest Crisp, a police badge appears in his left hand between shots. (00:07:05)

Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the film while the school is on fire, Kimble's partner runs to the side door, gun drawn. Phoebe is spotted by Crisp's mom and is hit by her car, knocking her down. Crisps mom's hair is pulled back, but when she is in the school locker room and discovers Crisp shot dead her hair style is different, not pulled back.

Visible crew/equipment: When the Miss Schlowski and Kimble walk to the classroom for the very first time and Miss Schlowski opens the door, you can quickly see a crew member's hand hold open the door by the door handle. (00:25:20)

Revealing mistake: In the fire scene at the end when Dominic first gets separated from Det. Kimble as he's helping the little girl, we see his hands around a stuffed ferret and not the real one he put in his sweater earlier.

Revealing mistake: In the shot where Dominic is falling from the radio tower from afar, he supposedly gets hung up by his backpack. However the lack of tension on the straps indicate that something else kept him from falling. We see the proper tension on the backpack when the scenes change to an up close shot.

Continuity mistake: When Det. Kimble opens the door in the school to see the two kids making out, we see the hallway behind him is clear of smoke. However, in the next shot the hallway is now full of smoke again.

Revealing mistake: When Dominic climbs the electrical tower, he is facing the ladder. In the next scene, his back is facing the ladder (when the bird hits him). When he begins to fall, a safety line becomes visible.

Detective John Kimble: We're going to play a wonderful game called, "Who is my daddy and what does he do?"

Trivia: When Kimble carries Phoebe into the motel, he says two short sentences in German (the only time Arnie can be heard speaking his native tongue in a movie.). For interest, these mean: "That makes me stinking mad. Now I'm mad."
