Judge Dredd

Trivia: After the fake Dredd kills the judge and his wife in their apartment, the camera then cuts to a street scene in which Hershey is calling in their location as "at the corner of Burns and Allen." This is a cinematic tip-of-the-hat to the legendary comedy team of George Burns and his wife Gracie Allen. She also says they are "at the corner of Abbot and Costello" in the beginning.

Trivia: According to Dredd's creators, the film was originally going to have Judge Death as the main villain; however, the studio couldn't afford the special effects needed to depict Death's skeletal body.

Trivia: Originally, the plan was to release a Judge Dredd film sometime in the late 80s; however, in 1987, Robocop came out and the communal feeling was, "It's basically Judge Dredd in all but name, isn't it?" As such, the plans for a Dredd film were put on hold until the Robocop films had died out and interest in launching a new film franchise had grown anew.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where one of the "high council" is speaking (behind a desk or pedastal), there is a close-up shot of the highest ranking council member's face. In his nostril you can see a dry booger. They then change the shot and then come back to a close-up of his face. The booger is no longer there. Sorry if this is a bit gross, but I found it amusing.

Brisco: Judge Dredd, take cover.
Judge Dredd: They're firing 20 milimetre caseless flechette rounds at 300 metres. The effective lethal range is 200 metres. You're safe... so what are you doing down there, Judge Hershey?
Judge Hershey: Waiting for backup.
Judge Dredd: It's here.

Question: Why is Hershey always going into the men's changing/locker room?

Answer: She is not. The judges have unisex locker rooms. Later in the movie when another female judge opens a locker, a male is in the background wearing a towel, which shows they all share the same locker room.
