Halloween

Plot hole: We see Michael wearing the mask throughout the day, from morning at the Myers House, to mid-day outside Laurie's school, to afternoon when Tommy is leaving school, yet when Laurie and Annie see the sheriff in front of the hardware store on the way to their babysitting jobs (presumably in late afternoon or early evening), the store's alarm is still ringing and the sheriff mentions that one of the items stolen was a Halloween mask.

Plot hole: When Laurie and her friend see the Sheriff in front of the hardware store, he tells them someone broke in and stole "A Halloween mask, some rope, and a couple of knives." Without someone doing a complete inventory of the store, there would be no way to know the specific items that had been stolen, especially when they are such commonplace things as knives and rope in a hardware store.

Suggested correction: Simple, he watched the security footage.

Before shutting off the alarm? Store video wasn't really a thing in a small town store back then.

Plot hole: Since the station wagon from the asylum was stolen, it should have been reported stolen along with the escape of Mike Myers. So why was the sheriff department not looking out for the stolen station wagon? We see Myers driving that station wagon freely without being stopped, while wearing a mask in broad daylight.

Factual error: There's no way that the knife that killed Bob was long enough to go through his body and impale the wall behind him. And a butcher knife cannot "pin" a human body to a wall and just stay put, they aren't strong enough.

Laurie: I killed him.
Tommy: You can't kill the boogeyman!

Question: In the end, when Michael has his mask taken off, it looks like his left eye is messed up. Whats the reason for this? I am looking for more of a behind the scenes answer.

Answer: Even though it was thought that Michael Myers had a deformed left eye, it is supposed to be the result of the injury that Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) inflicted when she stabbed him in the eye with a clothes hanger. The look was achieved by a prosthetic that was stretched to give the eye a droopy-like appearance. You can see a similar prosthetic in a brightened up version of the Halloween 2018 poster.
