Question: Michael is in the year 2023 (following the timeline of the movie), and then upon learning of Morty's true identity, he asks to be taken to a good place and then he appears at his son's wedding. Everything I've read about this movie says that the wedding is in the year 2030 (one article said 2033). But where in the movie is the proof that seven (or ten) years have gone by? His kids look the same as 2023 and the wedding is simply "a good place" he was taken to. Where's the evidence showing a future year?

New this week Question: After Michael auto fast forwarded from 2017 to 2023 the remote appeared to stop fast forwarding on its own. Is it because he didn't want it to fast forward and the remote listened, or is it just that he didn't get into any of the major ones he already fast forwarded to?

New this week Answer: It fast forwarded one more time to the wedding scene (supposedly at least by 2030 or 2033 per all reviews causing the following question listed underneath this one). It stopped by then since that was the time Michael died (til Morty brought him back for a second chance in life).

Question: I am officially confused. Corrections on this site by a few people state it is all just a dream. However at the end of the movie, Sandler finds the remote at home with a note from Morty. So is it a dream or not? If so, then what is the deal with the remote at the end of the movie?

Chosen answer: It was not a dream - Adam Sandler just thought it was. Morty left the remote at Michael's house as a way of letting him know that he has been given a second chance.

Question: What does Ammer say in Spanish at the sexual harassment lecture?

Chosen answer: First Ammer says, '... whether it's in your own room or a public bathroom, that's not important to me.' Then Michael says, 'Today with this!" Ammer: " Problem, Michael?" Michael: No, proceed. You're a magnificent teacher. Fabulous! *Gasp* What am I doing? Ammer: But, what? Michael: Nothing, I...(In English) Proceed.

Question: I don't really get it. Why doesn't he just rewind and start over when things start going bad? Did I miss something?

Chosen answer: He can't start over, all he can do with rewind is view the past. The remote was a learning remote. The choices Michael made were his and they were permanent. Morty goes over this when he explains the virtues of the remote to Michael.

Question: Why did Michael's secretary keep asking him if she could go to the toilet?

Chosen answer: She felt that she had to ask permission to do everything. She feared that she would make Michael angry if he needed her and she wasn't there.

Question: I haven't seen this movie but I've seen the adverts. Is the woman who plays Sandler's wife the same woman who plays Kate in Lost? She sure does look like her.

Chosen answer: No Sandler's wife in the movie is played by Kate Beckinsale. Kate on Lost is played by Evangeline Lilly.
