Continuity mistake: The train is stopped because Spectre has pushed a 1950's style Dodge truck full of flowers in the trains path. Later, when James is driving it trying to avoid the grenades dropped from a helicopter, the truck has turned into a very different looking 1961 Chevrolet truck.
Continuity mistake: Just after Grant has hit 007 on the back of his head and knocked him out, Grant searches through the pockets of 007, he takes out some money and puts it into his lower left side pocket. But when 007 kills Grant and searches his pockets, 007 takes back the money from Grant's inside top right hand pocket.
Continuity mistake: Bond and Tatiana break into a Russian embassy to steal the 'Lektor' decoding device. As Bond tries to close the lid on the device, the lid is not even close to being closed. Ever the great actor, Sean Connery simply tucks the still-open device under his arm and continues the scene, which is him hastily making his escape from the room with the 'Lektor'. However, the scene shows that the 'Lektor' case is now fully and correctly closed only one second later, which is impossible to do in an instant.
Continuity mistake: Just before the girl fight at the gypsy camp, Bond's coffee cup moves between shots. In the first clip after we see the girls enter the scene, the withe rimmed coffee cup is at the corner of the table, to the left of Bond's plate. In the next clip is is right next to the coffee pot and the plate. In the clip in between, Bond sits perfectly still, and the cup is visible, so it was not moved there.

Continuity mistake: When 007 puts Tatiana into the back of the truck with the flowers, he also puts his own attache case and the lector into the back of the truck: But later, when he stops the truck and gets out, he can be seen holding part of the rifle that he will use to shoot down the helicopter, then in the next shot he is carrying the lector from the truck again.
Continuity mistake: In the boat chase scene, when the bullets hit the drums on the back of Bond's boat they hit the ends of the drums. In order for that to happen one of the chasing boats would have to be along side of Bonds boat. At no time are any of the chase boats shown to be that close.

Continuity mistake: During the fight at the gypsy camp, just before the host thanks 007 for saving his life from the gunman up above, watch the carefully at the point when he is aiming his rifle and about to shoot, while in the next shot just before 007 fires his gun, you can the gunman loading his rifle.
Continuity mistake: Watch the black Citroen Traction Avant saloon car that the Soviet spies are driving/tailing Bond and Kerim Bey's son in. When we first see it (at the airport), the hubcaps are gray and flat. When you see it through the rear window of Kerim's son's Rolls-Royce, you can catch glimpses of the hubcaps being cream-colored (which is how the Traction Avant came from the factory). However, when SPECTRE agent Donald Grant conks the Soviet agent over the head, from that point onward, the hubcaps are black (such as when he parks the car alongside Kerim's Rolls-Royce).
Continuity mistake: After the scene where Klebb arrives via helicopter on Spectre island and meets Morzeny, they enter a training area and continue their conversation while walking through it. Just after Morzeny says '.we use live targets as well,' the scene cuts to a wide shot and they are entering the same training area once again, only this time from a path that is just right next to the one used before.
Continuity mistake: When James finds the Russian defector in his hotel bed, they kiss, a lot. Problem is: At first, she's wearing a generous amount of red lipstick, and when they finish, she is still wearing a generous amount of lipstick, and it is not smudged, which it should be, and James hasn't any lipstick on his face and mouth, which should be impossible - not even a smudge.
Continuity mistake: When James encounters Tatiana for the first time in the bedroom of the hotel bridal suite, as he begins to sit on the edge of the bed he is holding his Walther in a non threatening position in the palm of his hand, with his thumb on top of the slide. As the scene cuts to the POV of Tatiana, the pistol is being held in a firing position, finger on the trigger, and switches back when the scene cuts back to the wide shot of both of them. Also when Tatiana reaches to move the gun away from pointing at her and says "Guns upset me" she returns her hand to beside her on the bed. At the cut to the wide scene, she is again moving the gun away.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the underground reservoir, Bond and Kerim set off in the little boat. There is a clip of the oar, which is turned over a few times to shake off some rats. In that clip, the oar does not move forward in the water (as can be seen from the air bubbles in the water). In the next clip the boat is moving again. A boat takes a little way to get completely still. It is implausible that Kerim would stop the boat completely to shake off the rats, and then start moving again. The clip with the rats must have been made afterwards with a stationery oar.

Continuity mistake: When Bond and the other board the train in Istanbul, they board the train at the rear which shows passenger coaches. When the train passes Kerim's son and does not stop at the scheduled rendezvous because Kerim has been killed, the passing rear of the train contains freight cars. When Bond and Tania escape from the train, the departing shot of the rear of the train shows passenger cars again.
Continuity mistake: When Bond is in the gypsy camp, the two girls Vida and Zora, who are about to fight over a man, are coming out of a caravan both wearing long skirts and scarves. When they each take their scarf to bind it around their hips, the skirts have suddenly disappeared without ever being taken off.
Continuity mistake: When Bond arranges to meet Tania at the mosque he is carrying a camera. When he spots the Bulgar spying on Tania he puts the camera down by a pillar. He takes out his gun and raps it in a handkerchief. The next scene shows him with his camera (without the gun) looking at the Bulgar again. This is a repeat shot from a few seconds before.
Continuity mistake: At the gypsy camp, at the end the belly dance, we see Bond at the table with Kerim. In the first shot, there is about ½ meter of empty table between Kerim and the corner. Bond is at the end of the table. In the next shot, Kerim is right at the corner with his right hand very close to Bond's elbow.

Continuity mistake: As the destroyed helicopter falls, it first falls straight and smooth. Then the wreckage is twisting, and finally on the ground. As the wreckage is on the ground, there is no indication that it has just hit, as indicated by the off-screen noise, and the explosions are on a an already settled prop set up for the stunt.

Continuity mistake: When Bond tells Sylvia that he has to make a phone call, Sylvia passes Bond his shirt and he walks over to the car. Bond then picks up the phone in the car and starts to put his shirt on. After a quick cut to Miss Moneypenny, we then return to Bond and he has now managed to put his shirt completely on and buttoned, one-handed, in the space of just five seconds.
Continuity mistake: When the train conductor takes Bond (as Mr Somerset) to the compartment where Kerim Bey and the Russian have been killed, you can see that Bond is standing in front of the door of the compartment when the camera is in the corridor. When the conductor opens the door to the compartment, Bond can be seen standing on the far side of the door and is not seen until right before he enters.
Continuity mistake: When Bond says "Tell our host his hospitality overwhelms me," after the belly dance at the gypsy camp, Bond takes the handkerchief out of the pocket of his suit and starts wiping his hands with it. He is not wiping his hands in the next shot, but in the shot after that, he is.
Continuity mistake: When the man from Q branch shows the briefcase to Bond, he removes one of the ammunition sleeves from the case, opens it, slides a few rounds into his hand and then starts to return the rounds to the sleeve. Just before the cut to the throwing knife coming out of the case, Bond is still trying to put the rounds back into the sleeve, with the cap of the sleeve being held between his thumb and first finger of his right hand. At the cut, all the bullets have been replaced and the cap is back on the sleeve. When it cuts back to the wide scene, the cap is off again and Bond is now holding it in is left hand.
Continuity mistake: In the helicopter chase, Bond is running around carrying the Lektor. It is supposed to weigh 10 kg. You can tell an object's weight by how easily it can move from side to side. That box does not weigh 10 kg - it swings way too much, too fast, and too easily.

Continuity mistake: In the close-up where we see Krinelcu get shot, he is resting his legs on a flat surface just below our view. That is clear on the position of his legs and the movements of his body. He is kneeling on a floor. But in the clips we have seen of the house it is clear that the poster is painted on a completely flat building. There is no ledge for him to be resting on. Also in the shot where he falls from the lighted opening, no ledge is visible.

Continuity mistake: During the boat chase scene, Morzeny is first seen riding in a boat with a small wooden mast arising from the middle of the windshield (similar to Bond's boat). The mast is present in most shots, but at one point, when he tells the boat "SPECTRE 3" to move over so his boat can come through, the mast is gone, replaced by a small antenna.
Continuity mistake: In the scenes in which Tatiana is in the back of the flower truck and aboard the boat she is wearing a light blue top and gold skirt. Yet in the shot in which she moistens her finger and holds it up to the wind she is also wearing a vest that matches the skirt. But, the only luggage they brought on board from the truck are Bond's attache case and the Lektor.
Continuity mistake: Q demonstrates to Bond how to properly rotate the latches on his briefcase to arm or disarm the exploding tin of talcum held inside. Q then asks Bond to open and close the latches, to be sure he knows how to do it. Bond closes the first latch without any trouble, but the second latch will not engage, and Sean Connery does his best to 'keep the scene alive' by ignoring the recalcitrant latch and tries to obscure the faulty mechanisim by casually placing his hand over the latch. As Bond turns to leave M's office with the briefcase, the latch is still open, yet as Bond reaches the doorway the scene cuts to the opposite view of the door and the latch is now securely closed.
Continuity mistake: On the train Bond gives Tatiana a powder blue negligée, the upper portion is lace. She puts it on and they snuggle a bit, then Bond is called out by Kerim about something. Bond returns a few minutes later and she has on a totally different negligée that has no lace on it but is still powder blue.
