Revealing mistake: In driving rain, the faces of Nick and Suzanne appear to be completely dry.
Revealing mistake: When Ice Cube is chasing the kids and is thrown from the horse, he is lying on the ground and the three dots beside his eye have suddenly switched to the other side of his face, revealing that the filmmaker flipped that scene.
Continuity mistake: When Kevin vomits, it shows the vomit on the windshield; a few seconds later Nick is trying to use the windshield wipers to clean it off. The next couple of frames show us a clean windshield and this is before they even pull over to clean the window.
Nick Persons: Oh Damn! Boy Didn't you hear what I just said?
Lindsey Kingston: Ooh, you just swore.
Nick Persons: Your damn right I swore, that's about $400 dollars worth of damage to my new car.
Lindsey Kingston: That's twice! Now you have to put two dollars in the swear jar.
Question: How did Nick know that the man in the window was their dad, given he never met him before?
Chosen answer: Kevin says "he use to hold me like that." Kinda obvious after that.
