Revealing mistake: Throughout the film when we see wads of £50 notes they are quite fake as the print of the queen looks far too dark and the colours are off. Surely it wouldn't have been too much bother to put one real note on top of each wad? (01:06:50)
Matchstick Men (2003)
1 revealing mistake
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, Bruce McGill, Alison Lohman, Beth Grant, Bruce Altman, Jenny O'Hara, Steve Eastin
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Angela and Roy are bowling, Angela rolls her ball down lane 23. When Roy takes a turn bowling a second later, he throws his ball in the gutter in lane 26.
Angela: She said you were a bad guy. You don't seem like a bad guy.
Roy: That's what makes me good at it.
Trivia: Alison Lohman, who plays Nicolas Cage's teenage (14) daughter, is actually 24.
Question: Why is there a scene where the fake detectives are trying to listen to Roy's conversation with his doc? They weren't really cops, the fake hospital room didn't need microphones, etc.

Answer: They needed to get the password for Roy's safety deposit box. They planted the camera and microphones so that they could listen in on the conversation and know what the password is.
