Continuity mistake: When Sandra and Hugh are trying to get to the RV, a door opens and Sandra slips. She stands up with the help of Hugh and her skirt is completely clean. But in the next shot there is dirt on her skirt, supposedly from falling. (00:56:45)
Continuity mistake: When George and Lucy leave their car and run for the RV the lane marking is continuous. However, when the drive by the car later the marking is dashed. (00:58:30)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy is in the RV bathroom, there's a framed picture on the wall outside the bathroom door which hangs very crookedly in the closer shots, and perfectly straight in the wide shots. (01:00:15)
Continuity mistake: After George and Lucy get dropped off in the parking lot by the people in the RV, Lucy's standing with her feet crossed. When we see a closeup shot her feet aren't crossed anymore. (01:01:10)
Continuity mistake: During the scene in the coffee room with Alicia Witt after the tennis match, the things in Hugh Grant's hand changes with each shot. First it's a spoon, then nothing, then a spoon, then creamer, then a coffee pot, and finally back to nothing. (01:02:20)
Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant is visiting his brother, after he tells him they are tearing down the community center, the brother changes into his pyjamas. He puts on the pyjama top and it is unbuttoned, then the camera changes to Hugh Grant, then goes back to the brother within a few seconds. When it goes back the buttons are done up. (01:05:05)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy and George talk at the party you see in the background behind Lucy the same couple passing by twice. (01:09:30)
Continuity mistake: At the Pediatric benefit when Hugh and Sandra are talking, it begins to rain (watch Hugh's jacket shoulder). In the next shot it isn't, and then it is again shortly afterwards. (01:10:45)
Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant and Alicia Witt are in the elevator with the elderly couple, they elevator stops to let Alicia off, but Hugh pulls her back on. The elevator supposedly continues on up to Hugh's apartment, but it never moves. You can see it moving BEFORE the first stop, but never again. (01:12:35)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy goes to George's penthouse while June is there playing strip chess, June is in the kitchen getting two beers out of the refrigerator. She is surprised to turn around and see Lucy and the door gets left open. George, Lucy and June have a conversation, towards the end of which the door somehow now closed even though nobody has made a move to shut it. (01:14:05)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy goes to George's penthouse she has a white envelope in her hand. She talks to the assistant for a minute and then leaves, getting back into the elevator with the envelope. When she exits the building, it is gone. (01:14:50)
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Sandra Bullock goes to Hugh Grant's place (when he is playing strip chess) to talk to him. The clock outside the hotel stays at the same time (1:40) between her going into the hotel and leaving the hotel. (01:15:05)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy is being comforted by her friend, as the camera keeps switching, Lucy's hand is sometimes on her friend's arm and sometimes on her lap. (01:16:05)
Continuity mistake: At the end of Sandra's leaving party when she is arguing with Hugh, her hair is in a different place for every shot. (01:20:05)
Continuity mistake: After the argument in the coffee room following the stapler fight you can see that, when Hugh leaves, the stapler is by the coffee pot next to where Hugh was standing, although Sandra had already taken it to the other side of the counter (where you also see it in the last shot of the scene). (01:21:35)
Continuity mistake: After the stapler fight George and Lucy have an argument in the pantry. The clock on the wall remains at 4:13 throughout the whole scene. (01:21:55)
Continuity mistake: After the stapler fight, George and Lucy are talking in the coffee room, and they switch sides. After they switch, the coffee pot next to George keeps changing places, sometimes it's really close to the edge of the counter, other times it's further away. (01:25:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end, when Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant are about to kiss, at first her head is leaning to the right, but in the next shot it is leaning to the left even though they haven't kissed or supposedly moved. (01:30:30)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy and George kiss in the street George has his hand down by his side, but when the shot changes, his hand is on Lucy's cheek. (01:31:00)
Continuity mistake: When Sandra Bullock falls down on the way to the motor home, to go to the bathroom, she gets dirt on her tennis skirt. The amount of dirt on her skirt changes from shot to shot.
