Continuity mistake: In the scene where Deeds is rescuing "Pam" from the fake mugging, he catches up to the 'mugger', grabs him and throws him into a series of garbage cans sitting beside a building. While falling, he drops Pam's purse near where the garbage cans were sitting. But after Deeds finishes beating up the mugger, he picks up the purse, which has now mysteriously moved across the sidewalk in front of the cable barriers on the curb.
Audio problem: In Madison Square Garden, when "Pam" says "I can explain", she appears to be using her normal voice tone. But she apparently is heard loud and clear by everyone in the middle of the arena.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at Madison Square Garden basketball arena, when Deeds is going to propose to Pam during a romantic dinner, the candles on the table constantly change lengths. At one point one of the candles appears to be half the size of the other, but later it is mysteriously longer and almost the same size. The candles should gradually grow shorter during the scene, not longer.
Continuity mistake: When Deeds is talking to the pilot of the helicopter about football teams, you can see them start to fly over a bridge, then two cuts later, they fly over the same bridge.
Factual error: When flying from Mandrake Falls to NYC they stop at a Wendy's; the commentary claims this is Danbury, CT. Actually it was in the small town of Carmel, NY, about 15 miles from Danbury.
Continuity mistake: When deeds saves babe from the lake when he punches a hole in the ice the hole is not big enough for her to get out but then it cuts away and back and it is suddenly larger.
Continuity mistake: When Adam Sandler beats the supposed mugger, he and Winona Ryder step over the mugger's body, but then stop to talk. The shot then shifts from the two talking (with no one behind them), to the mugger (who is behind them), back to Sandler and Ryder talking again (with no one behind them).
Continuity mistake: After Deeds punches the football player and they are sitting down talking, the gold chain the football player is wearing alternates from being caught onto the outside of the jacket, to being inside the jacket between shots.
Continuity mistake: As Wynona Rider is reading the diary, her hair changes. The hair is parted on one side and then it switches to the other.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Deeds is delivering pizzas while walking down the street with Anderson and Chuck, the last pizza he delivers to "Crazy Eyes" obviously is a large, but apparently changes to a small when Deeds slides it to him through the jail bars.
Continuity mistake: When Deeds and Chuck Cedar are playing tennis, the guy who handed Chuck a tennis ball keeps switching from one side of the net to the other, between different shots.
Audio problem: We establish that the manor Deeds stays at makes an echo when you shout or yell. Yet when Deeds slides down the banister and crashes into the table, his very loud yelling and the smashing into the table never produces an echo.
Continuity mistake: When Deeds is in the pizza place before he finds out about his inheritance, Murph is standing there with him holding a blue Pepsi cup. It switches to Deeds then when it is back on Murph, he is holding a beer mug and he continues to hold this throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: The cats falling from the burning building change color from the time the hit the trampoline to when they reach their final destination.
Other mistake: In the scene where Winona Ryder falls in the ice, she can't swim and she's flailing around and having trouble staying above water. But when Deeds runs down to her, all of a sudden, she's able to stay afloat for a minute or two before completely submerging under water.
Revealing mistake: After Deeds kisses Pam he walks on the sidewalk and jumps on garbage cans and falls. When he gets up you can see the stunt double.
Revealing mistake: While Jan is fighting Pam, she lifts her and the replacement stuntman is visible.
Other mistake: When Deeds is rescuing Miss Keeling's cats, there are two mistakes. There are smoke and flames inside her apartment - both of them should be coughing a lot from the smoke. Oxygen gets displaced in a fire. Second mistake is why isn't any of the fireman inside the building coming up to her apartment or even fighting the fire? There is no way any fire dept or police dept is going to let bystanders just walk up to the scene as Deeds and Pam did.
Other mistake: Just before Deeds enters the room where he punches the quarterback, you see Chuck Cedar talking to all his associates. While speaking to them he is speaking in perfect English and they all seem to understand. When Deeds punches the quarterback Chuck has to explain to some people in French as if they didn't speak English.
Continuity mistake: When Deeds reads a card to everybody in the pizza shop towards the beginning of the movie, his last line, "...even when your bosoms sag down to the floor" causes one of the higher-aged men to cry. However, watch carefully: Deeds reads it, and everyone - including the man - laughs aloud. The very next shot shows him up close and wiping tears from his eyes, a smile being a far cry from on his face.
Chosen answer: Helicopter performance is dependent on a number of factors, including air density. As altitude increases, air density decreases and the performance of the helicopter falls as well. At the height of Mt Everest, the air density has fallen to a sufficient degree that most helicopters would be unable to function (few helicopters are capable of functioning above 20,000 feet, nine thousand feet lower than the summit of Everest).
