Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

Question: How can Jason go into the lake in Parts 6 and 7 if he's afraid of water due to drowning? He'd freeze up from the sight right?

Rob245

Answer: Jason being afraid of water is not portrayed consistently throughout the series. Continuity between sequels was not a major concern when making this series.

Answer: I think that Jason is actually afraid of unpredictable situations with water. He is familiar with Crystal Lake after living in the forest for so long. He might be less hesitant to enter this lake sometimes.

Question: Why was Dr. Crews such a two-faced, corrupt, dishonest and manipulative person? He never intended to help nor cure Tina but wanted to exploit her abilities for sake of his own career, to the point of deliberately aggravating her. He was a psychiatrist so why was he so evil?

Answer: He's just... not a good guy. I don't think it's any deeper than that - he thought he could exploit her for personal gain. Some people are just slimy and like to take advantage of others for their own purposes.

Question: Why didn't Tina use her powers to revive her mother?

Answer: Maybe she was in too much shock to think about it at the time.

Question: Did Tina's opening memory of her father drowning happen before or after Jason being anchored to the bottom of the lake by Tommy? I know that they showed him in that scene, but that was for the audience's sake, letting them know that it was the same lake from 6. Was he there when Tina "killed" her father, or did it happen at a later time before Tina and her mother returned after all those years?

Answer: Jason was long dead and buried in the lake when Tina accidentally killed her father.

Question: At the end of Jason Lives, Jason was chained at the bottom of Forest Green Lake, but in this movie the camp doesn't appear, and he is chained next to house, why is that?

Answer: After years of campers being butchered by Jason, the property was most likely sold for a loss to greedy developers, who care more about profit than danger and turned it into lakeside homes.

Question: Why was Jason never recovered after Tommy drowned him at the end of part 6?

Answer: To leave well enough alone, Jason always finds a way to come back. It would have been better to let him stay at the bottom of the lake to rot. Besides greedy developers or publicity would have turned the place into a tourist attraction.

Answer: Because nobody but Tommy and Megan as well as the campers knew he was in the lake. If they did then they looked the other way.

Question: Why wasn't Jason recovered after Tommy drowned him at the end of part 6?

Answer: Jason was dead at the end of Part 6, the girl used her E.S.P. powers to bring him back to life.

Answer: Any answer is pure speculation, but my personal theory is that people just decided to turn their heads and look the other way. It seemed like Jason was finally dead at the end of part six, so authorities just decided to leave him where he was to rot. At least that's my theory.

Visible crew/equipment: As Tina swerves off of the road after seeing her mum get killed by Jason in the middle of the road, if you look in the back of the car, you can see a camera set up, filming the shots in the back seat. (00:43:15)
