Continuity mistake: In the hotel scene when Van Damme is crashing through walls to escape the other Universal Soldiers who are shooting from outside, one shot from the inside of the room shows him hitting the wall with his left shoulder, but when the camera goes into the next room to show him coming through that wall, he is breaking through with his right shoulder. Continuity mistake: When Luc Deveraux and Veronica Roberts are on the prison bus and Andrew Scott is chasing them on the truck/base of operations Andrew starts throwing hand grenades. Andrew throws one that lands inside the bus. Veronica has time to fumble around for it, pick it up, scream about it and throw it out of the window before it explodes. The rest of the grenades that Andrew throws explode in a couple of seconds like they are supposed to. (01:17:20)
Continuity mistake: In one scene JCVD is trapped in the back of an out of control prison bus. The driver has been killed but has, one must assume, died with his foot jammed on the pedal because the bus doesn't slow. In a shot facing back at the bus you can clearly see a pair of hands steering the bus. (01:16:35)
Continuity mistake: In the final fight scene when Andrew is ramming Luc's head into the side of the police car the blood on Luc's forehead disappears and reappears between shots. (01:29:15)
Continuity mistake: When the Unisols first show up at the dam, the colonel is wearing a 11th armored cav patch on his left sleeve and a Special Forces patch on the right. In the next shot he is wearing a 11th cav patch and no SF patch, then a SF patch on the left sleeve and nothing on the right, then they switch (SF on the left and 11th cav on the right). This continues throughout the movie.
Continuity mistake: When Luc and Veronica escape from the gas station, the bullet holes have disappeared from the back of the car.
Continuity mistake: When Veronica arrives at the Hoover Dam and pulls over there are just three people next to the car. A shot later there are 5 people on the left who have appeared out of nowhere.
Continuity mistake: Queenie's arm on Toretto's shoulder and biceps changes between shots. (00:45:43)
Continuity mistake: After the big chase scene with Luc and Veronica in the prison bus, and Sgt Scott has seemingly been killed, Luc and Veronica knock out the Sheriff and take his car. The car they take is a white car with blue lines on the side, the word "Sheriff" stencilled on the back wing and large flashing lights on top. In the next scene when they arrive at Luc's family's home, the car is still white with blue lines, but has no lights on top or writing on the wings, and has a totally different bumper on the front. Continuity mistake: After Veronica's car crashes, she is seen on a CCTV screen showing her ID. Half a second later, when the angle changes, her hairstyle is different.
Continuity mistake: After escaping from the motel, Luc and Veronica buckle up. Minutes later they pull the car over and in the wide angle you can see that neither he nor Veronica is buckled up. Then in the close-up they're buckled up again.
Continuity mistake: When Luc is in the tub covered with ice bags, a bag appears next to his armpit in the close-ups, but disappears in the wide angles.
Continuity mistake: When Lundgren dies, the position of his right hand keeps changing between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Lundgren bombs the prison bus, the aerial shots and the close-ups have nothing in common: In the aerial the bus is in a very narrow space next to a huge cliff, with nothing around but sand and rocks. In the first close-up the bus is rolling in a wide field, no sign of the cliff. In the second close-up a wooden fence and a house-shaped sign suddenly appear, only to disappear in the third close-up.
Continuity mistake: The prison bus has a huge blood splatter next to the driver's seat, which changes to a line of blood seconds later.
Continuity mistake: When Lundgren flies through the car's window, several chunks of glass remain attached to the window frame sticking out, however half a second later they are gone.
Continuity mistake: Veronica arrives at the motel, talks to the manager, points at the phone booth and lowers her hand. When the angle changes her hand is still raised and pointing at the phone booth.
Continuity mistake: The amount of corpses on the road by the dam increases between the aerial shot and the close-up.
Continuity mistake: During the fight in the diner, before a man flies through a window you can see the window is already broken in pieces.
Continuity mistake: When Van Damme is talking Lundgren into saving the innocent couple's lives, there's a wall to the right that disappears in the wide angle.
