Batman and Robin

Stupidity: Mr, Freeze and Poison Ivy join together and plan to cover Gotham in freezing temperatures and plants, with none of them ever considering in the slightest that plants don't survive freezing temperatures, despite both of them being scientists.

Suggested correction: Poison Ivy made super-plants that could survive the new ice age they were going to create. As for the fate of normal plants, though this is only really clarified in the novelization (and original script), Poison Ivy's god complex has (pun intended) grown to where she no longer cares about individual or existing plants, just playing out her fantasies of being "Mother Nature."

Stupidity: Batman blows up a rocket to avoid it crashing back to Gotham. You would've thought he would have more sense to detonate it whilst it was out of the earth's atmosphere So, basically, he has turned 1 falling object into hundred of falling objects. (01:11:15 - 01:11:50)

Suggested correction: Batman's bomb probably has a set time to go off, couldn't have it go off until it was higher. So he slapped it on immediately and went after Freeze. The rocket disintegrated in the explosion, making it harmless.

Completely ridiculous correction that contradicts what the movie itself shows. You literally see it explode right after Batman exits. There's no "set timer" outside of a couple-second delay.

I said it exploded right away, the supposed mistake said Batman should have waited for it to go into space to explode, which he can't do if the bomb he planted can't be delayed. Thats all I said. A couple of seconds delay is a timer.

Revealing mistake: When Mr. Freeze knocks out the two guards after being released from the fridge, one of the guards falls against the fridge causing it to wobble. A big heavy fridge like that should not wobble. (00:55:30)

Poison Ivy: I must confess, the combination of heroic derring-do and anatomically-correct rubber suit puts fire in a girl's lips.
Batman: Why do all the gorgeous ones have to be homicidal maniacs? Is it me?

Trivia: Ivy's hair color changes slightly during the movie. In the beginning, it was pure red. During the movie they dyed the wig with orange to get different looks.

Question: How was Pamela Isley aka Poison Ivy able to fight Batgirl with martial arts-like skills towards the end of the movie? Pamela was a doctor and I highly doubt given her obsession with her research she had the time to take martial arts lessons in her spare time, if she had any during her stay in South America. Even after she transformed into Poison Ivy, her transformation could not have given her martial arts skills since her powers are based on plant abilities.

joshtrivia

Answer: There's no way of knowing whether or not she "had the time" to study martial arts. Regardless of her studies, she could have made time to pursue this as an extra-curricular activity. Universities can have classes, clubs, competitions, and student groups for martial arts on campus that anyone can participate in. She may also have been studying it since childhood. She was also a botanist, so even with a rigorous academic schedule, she would likely have more free time than a medical student.

Answer: That and they had to have the women fight in here. I mean they couldn't have the guys hit her now could they? So it was necessary for her to fight competently at least.

Rob245

Exactly, and that's a point I make again and again that things happen in movies because it's required to make the plot to work, not because it reflects real life.
