I rented this movie form RedBox.

After seeing a preview for this film, I didn't realise what it was. But then an interview on YouTube caught my eye where James Franco and Tommy Wiseau were on a couch with Dave Franco and talking to a host. That's when I realised this movie was about the making of The Room. I decided to rent it and give it a watch and it was good!
Funny, and a deep look at the interaction of friends and one crazy guy.

I've actually never seen The Room, but after watching this I do want to now. I have a new appreciation for moves so-bad-their-good. I felt James did an excellent job recreating Tommy's persona and mannerisms. I really enjoyed this film and must buy it some time.

Mistake Status: Caught a few on my initial viewing of the rental. I do plan to buy this film on DVD in the future, and at some point I'll give it a more thorough examination.

Continuity mistake: As the crowd is cheering for Tommy and Greg at on the stage after the premier, Tommy has his sunglasses on his face in a frontal shot. But it cuts to behind them and suddenly his glasses are up on top of his head. (01:33:25)

Answer: He was a fictional character. However, Apatow says he was playing a version of himself, though he didn't initially realise that when being cast. He claims he is not that bad in real life; his character is also an amalgam of other producers.
