Spy Kids

Continuity mistake: When Juni and Carmen arrive at Floop's castle, in the first shot, as their heads pop up out of the water, their hair is completely flat and soaked, yet, in the next shot as they see the Thumb Thumb and all the following shots, their hair is not nearly as wet. (00:59:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: As Carmen and Juni stand in the shadows and encounter the first Thumb Thumb at the castle, the black oxygen tube on Carmen's shoulder changes position in consecutive shots, as does Juni's position behind Carmen. (01:00:10)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Carmen zaps the Thumb Thumb with Machete's Electroshock Gumball, she takes another wrapped one out to show Juni. In the wide shot, the wrapped gumball that she holds does not have a back sticker, yet, in the close-up she turns the gumball over to read, "Long lasting," on the back white sticker with the ingredients. (01:00:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Juni asks Agent Donnagon about his mom and dad, he ascends to Carmen, who waits up top. In the wide shots as Juni ascends and descends, the puzzle shaped cover on the circular opening, over Juni's head, is positioned a certain way, yet in the semi close-ups it is positioned differently. (01:01:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: The four Thumb Thumbs fall, after being zapped by Machete's Bubbles, yet in the following shots when Juni and Carmen descend, their bodies lie in completely different positions. (01:02:10)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Carmen tells the four Fooglies, "We'll be back for you, fellow agents," she uses her arms to calm the Fooglies, and the band on her right upper arm is much higher up in the second shot. (01:02:15)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: The robot children pass Carmen and Juni, who are hiding in a doorway in a specific area off the long corridor. However, when Carmen and Juni decide to follow the robots to try and find the dungeon, they run out of their hiding place from a completely different area along that corridor. (01:02:25)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Juni says, "This is the ventilator shaft, here," in the wide shots the map faces a particular way, however, in the close-up of the map with his right thumb, the map now faces the opposite way in his hands. (This has nothing to do with the angle of the camera.) (01:02:25)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Carmen and Juni start to follow the robot children when they try to get to the dungeons undetected. The position of the braids/plaits on the robot girl in front of them changes over and over again in consecutive shots. (01:02:40)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Minion chains Gregorio and Ingrid in the robotics lab, the position of the colorful link chains that bind them differ in consecutive shots. (01:04:25)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: As Minion is about to turn Gregorio into a Fooglie, he says, "Every weekday morning between 7:30 and 8:00," and Juni's unfolded Fooglie picture lies on the table beside the hat, with the folds visible. In the next close-up as the machine scans the picture, the paper's position differs, note the folds and the hat. (This has nothing to do with the angle of the camera.) (01:05:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Lisp and the other men arrive, Minion runs to the robotics lab to supposedly see Floop. When he arrives the Fooglie-making hats change position between shots. Then when he speaks with Juni, Minion's position changes between all the shots facing him and the rest facing Juni. (01:09:55)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: As Gregorio grabs Minion to toss him onto the metal chair in the robotics lab, in the wide shot, the top segment of the chair above the curve is much shorter than in the following shots. During the first sequence of shots the entire metal chair is about 6 inches thick and there is a matching chair directly behind it. However, when Minion says, "Fools!" the chair behind his shoulders is barely an inch thick now! Then in the last shot looking up at his Fooglie head, the chair is thick once again, but there is no chair directly behind it. (01:10:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: In the robotics lab, when Gregorio and Ingrid chain Minion to the chair one of the colorful links is broken and the wire is visible, but in the following shots the chain's position differs. Then, as Minion presses the red button his suit and tie are quite messed up and the hat's black cord is to his left. Yet in the next shot when he releases the button his suit and tie are perfectly straight, the black cord is behind his head and it's obvious that the smoke comes from behind the chair! (01:11:05)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After Ingrid and Carmen disappear through the ceiling, when robots Carmen and Juni appear, in the corridor towards the stairs there is a tall silver pedestal. When Carmen and Juni actually battle the two robots, as Carmen pulls robo-Juni's hands behind his back, there are multi-colored lights all over that pedestal. (01:13:00 - 01:15:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Robots Juni and Carmen appear, after Gregorio and Ingrid ascend into the opening above, and as they run up the wall and flip over a huge green work of art hangs on the corner wall at the left side of the screen. However, when robo-Carmen taunts Juni a smaller pink frilled work of art hangs on that very same corner wall. (01:13:20 - 01:14:40)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: After their parents ascend into the ceiling, Carmen and Juni confront their doppelgangers, who run up the wall, flip over and land in the center of the 'water' outline on the floor. After Carmen exclaims, "Oh shi...take mushrooms!" when they all walk towards the 'water' outline to come face to face in the wide shot, the robots must walk towards the center though they were already there. (01:13:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Carmen sends the anchor up into the circular puzzle opening above and in the next close-up the anchor attaches itself to the puzzle structure. She then attaches the base of the anchor device on robo-Juni's back and when he goes flying up, the actual puzzle shapes are completely different from the previous close-up. The way the anchor is anchored differs as well. (01:13:45)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Carmen and Juni confront their doppelgangers, after their parents ascend into the circular opening, at the end of the corridor there are many things, including two tall yellow lamps, near the window, as well as two large globes sitting directly on the floor, against the side wall nearby. However, after robo-Carmen throws Juni across the floor (btw, he disappears in the second shot), when he runs back up the corridor everything (no kidding) at the end of that hall changes and now the large globes sit on stands! (01:14:40)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Carmen yells, "You're strong Juni!" after the extreme close-up of Juni's fist, in the next shot a specific piece of loose painted plaster falls from the top left corner of the hole, as his fist hits. However, in the next two shots of Juni, that piece of loose plaster is actually back up on the wall!! (01:15:15)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: Lifejackets appear magically on the two kids when they emerge from the inside of the weird bubble ship. When they re-enter, they magically disappear. Likely, they simply didn't want the actors to be on a boat without a lifejacket, but there could've been a more graceful way to do it. (00:22:50 - 00:24:05)
