Continuity mistake: When Carmen and Juni arrive at the safe house, as they walk towards it the shadow on the front door keeps changing. That shadow should not change as the kids walk closer. (00:27:15)
Deliberate mistake: When Ms. Gradenko arrives at the safehouse, she uses a key to get in. This doesn't make any sense because when Carmen and Juni arrive, Carmen has to say her full name to get in; there is no sign of a key hole anywhere. (00:27:30 - 00:36:00)
Visible crew/equipment: After Carmen and Juni arrive at the safehouse, Carmen puts a small packet into the rehydrator and soon removes a burger and fries. When she closes the rehydrator door two crew member's reflections are visible. One is to the left of Carmen's reflection, on the glass window of the rehydrator and the second, who has very long hair, is reflected on the upper fry pan in the wall. (00:28:50)
Continuity mistake: When Ingrid and Gregorio are tied up at Floop's castle, the amount of rope wound round Ingrid differs from shot to shot. First there are seven strands, then six, then five - which is the first shot as the laser cuts, and all are not aligned straight. Then, in the last shot, as the laser still cuts through in the extreme close-up, there are six strands again which now lie perfectly! (00:29:30)
Continuity mistake: When Gregorio and Ingrid land on the table in front of Floop, the items on the table directly in front of the two of them are quite different in the shots facing them and the shots facing Floop. Things on the table change throughout the scene. (00:31:45)
Continuity mistake: At Floop's castle, Ingrid asks Floop, "Where are the OSS agents you've taken?" Gregorio holds the huge spoon in his right hand, then places it in his left hand and when he looks down to see the fur napkin on the plate in front of him, he makes a face. In the next shot the spoon is back in his right hand and the fur napkin is now on the table under his left hand. (00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: At the safehouse, when Carmen reads from the book, "How To Be A Spy," the items on the table in front of her and Juni change, as well as the table behind them. (00:34:15)
Continuity mistake: At the safe house, as Carmen picks up and begins to read the book "How To Be A Good Spy," the wicker basket tower stands to the side of the stone wall, behind the wicker bench. Yet when she says, "A good spy has no fear," the wicker tower stands in front of the stone wall. Throughout this scene the tower changes position, depending on camera angle. Then, after Ms. Gradenko arrives, the tower and its contents change position in the following consecutive shots. (00:34:15 - 00:35:20)
Continuity mistake: At the safehouse, when Carmen looks at the photo of Machete and her father, in the shot facing her, the photo is visible from the back side. In this shot, Gregorio (the taller one) actually wears a white tux, while Machete wears the black tux and much of his white shirt is exposed, and the background is very dark. Yet, in the close-ups of the photo, Gregorio wears the correct black tux, Machete's white shirt is not visible at all and the background is very light. It's obviously different photos. Also, later when they arrive at Machete's, when Carmen has the photo in her hands, it is the same 'wrong' photo when the shot faces her. In the close-up of the code names the fold in the photo differs from the previous shot and as Carmen flips the pic there is a brief glimpse of Machete's white shirt and dark background. The way she holds the photo in the close-ups and wide shots differ as well. When Carmen is at the park, the fold and handwriting behind the photo differ in the shot facing Carmen and the close-up of the writing. (00:34:50 - 00:46:05)
Continuity mistake: When Juni handcuffs the metal box to his wrist, it switches back forth from his right wrist to his left over and over again. (00:35:05)
Continuity mistake: When Ms. Gradenko walks into the safehouse, the table to Carmen's right is visible and there are no glasses on it. Though in many following shots, including just after Ms. Gradenko hits her head and falls, there are two glasses of milk and cookies on a tray sitting on that table. However, when Ms. Gradenko is hit with the BuddyPack and flies into the chair the glasses of milk are gone, but when Juni says, "Bad hair day!" the milk and cookies are back. (00:36:05 - 00:39:50)
Continuity mistake: When Ms. Gradenko arrives at the safehouse and is showing Juni that the Fooglies are mutated agents, Carmen is standing near the kitchen. When Ms. Gradenko shows Juni what the Fooglies are saying backwards and the shot goes back to Juni, Carmen is standing next to him. (00:36:45)
Continuity mistake: The arrangement of Carmen's hair repeatedly differs in consecutive shots throughout the film, depending on the angle of the camera. (00:37:10)
Visible crew/equipment: At the safehouse, while Ms. Gradenko asks, "Where does the third brain live exactly? Did Felix tell you that?" Juni places the photo of his parents upright and the third brain rises underneath the photograph. Before the photo flips over, the long wire for the stunt is clearly visible beneath the frame. Continuity mistake: At the safehouse Juni removes the cloth over the Machete BuddyPacks and it lies on the edge of the table. The cloth's position constantly changes in the following shots. (00:39:10)
Continuity mistake: At the safehouse, the silver trunk, yellow flashlight, silver pipe, oxygen tank tubes, stool, etc., all standing against the wall beside the escape tunnel, take turns changing position over and over again in consecutive shots. (00:39:15)
Revealing mistake: When Ms. Gradenko fights with the BuddyPack the wires are visible to her left leading to the floor beside her. Earlier, when the Thumb Thumbs take BuddyPacks from the table, the black harnesses are visible behind the packs. When Juni accidentally sets one off, as it flies it does not have any visible harness, though when Ms. Gradenko fights with it there is an attached harness. (00:39:30)
Visible crew/equipment: When Ms. Gradenko tugs on the backpack that Juni holds, and yells, "You little brat!" a crew member's hand, wearing a silver ring, pulls on Juni's right shoulder! (00:39:40)
Continuity mistake: While tugging on the backpack with Juni, Ms. Gradenko bangs her head into the island counter at the safehouse, and the two tall stools in front of the counter are gone. However, in the next shot the two stools are back. (00:39:40)
