Continuity mistake: Marcus opens a locker inside Mike's house and fetches two boxes of ammo from it. Look at his body when he is about to close it; he reveals the content of the locker, with a pair of handcuffs shining in the darkness of the bottom shelf. When Julie looks inside to get her handcuff keys, the handcuffs themselves are in a different part of the locker. (01:30:00)
Continuity mistake: When Theresa gets to Mike's apartment and confronts both real and fake Marcus, she mentions that lying to her is no use because she saw them on the news. Will Smith says, "That sh*t be having a slant," both hands free. In the next shot, he's holding a gun in his right hand. (01:32:10)
Continuity mistake: During the shoot-out in the lobby of Mike's apartment building, Chet calls 911 to report the event. In the first shot of him he is holding two dogs and in the next shot he is only holding one dog. (01:34:33)
Continuity mistake: Just as Mike saves Marcus from being hit by the taxi, there is a blue bumper attached / missing / attached / missing from the taxi. (01:37:05)
Continuity mistake: When Marcus and Mike are chasing the bad guys who have Julie, the sun changes between shots - while the bad guys are getting away in the cab, in the background you can see it's sunset, but in he next shot the sun is shining back again. (01:37:25)
Continuity mistake: Mike and Marcus go to meet Sanchez and Ruiz on the steps, Sanchez is sat down holding a doughnut (or something) in his right hand and a coffee in his left. A few seconds later, when talking about bongos, there's a close up shot and the items change hands. Back to a wide shot when Mike and Marcus enter they switch back. (01:41:30)
Continuity mistake: After the truck smashes through the drug deal location, there's a brief intermission with Julie trying to open her cuffs, saying "Go, go, go," and then Sanchez fires at a bad guy on the scaffolds, killing him. A few seconds of hectic action pass, Julie detonates the barrels, and Marcus looks up and shoots another villain on the scaffolds. As he falls, you can see another one close by; it's the same guy who died earlier. (01:44:50 - 01:45:25)
Continuity mistake: When Casper gets on the plane, he starts shooting at Marcus from the airplane door. To the left of the door, there are two windows with tin foil taped over; the airplane is obviously in storage. The taping disappears when he fires again a couple of shots later. (01:46:30)
Continuity mistake: In the final car chase - in the close-ups - we see Marcus turning the steering wheel quite far from side to side. With the speed they are going that would make the car slalom severely - and probably go out of control. At that speed only very small movements of the steering wheel are necessary (and safe). Continuity mistake: After Fouchet is hit, he still manages to crawl a bit on the tarmac, his head well away from the painted part in the overhead shot. When Marcus taunts his "punk a$$," the close-up on Tcheky Karyo shows him against the white painted asphalt. (01:51:54)
Continuity mistake: Fouchet dies with a dramatic close-up of Tcheky Karyo tilting his head to the left as he draws his last breath. Then an overhead shot just shows him facing up. (01:53:10)
Continuity mistake: After Mike has killed the bad guy at the end, the distance of the bad guy's hand from the gun changes instantly. (01:53:10)
Continuity mistake: When Marcus Burnett drops Julie Mott off at Mike Lowery's apartment it's dark outside. When he leaves shortly after, there is daylight outside.
