Revealing mistake: When Imortan Joe's body is thrown from the car by Max at the end, if you look closely when the crowd rush in it's just his costume there and no body.

I rented this movie from RedBox.
I don't have much prior experience with the Mad Max franchise. I do know for sure I did watch one or two of them back in the day, but I couldn't tell you any details. I just have vague glimpses of memories.
I had held off watching this film, planning to watch the previous ones all first but never got around to it, or couldn't find them.
But I finally relented since it came back to RedBox and I had heard you don't really need to see the other films first.
This movie is actually pretty good. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from it, but it's really good. I'm sure I'd have appreciated it better with more knowledge of the previous films. I found it fun, exciting and a real ride. Not really much else I can say about the movie that hasn't already been said by everybody else.
I'd have to watch the movie again to really decide if it's 4 or 5 stars. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.
And what is it with Tom Hardy having his face covered in a lot of his films lately? lol
Mistake Status: Really wasn't looking for any, was paying attention to the story too well. Which is a good sign for the film. I'll probably get my hands on a DVD box set of Mad Max movies in the future and comb through them for mistakes.
I really don't understand the universal praise this movie gets. While the film's technical merits (stunts, cinematography, etc.) are top notch, it is completely devoid of story and character development. Max himself barely says or does anything (Furiosa is arguably the main character). The movie is essentially a two-hour car chase with a few small breaks in the action here and there. And when the movie makes no effort to develop its characters, I couldn't care less about what happens in any of the action scenes.
Trivia: Actress Riley Keough (Capable) met actor/stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen on the set of Mad Max Fury Road and they married in February 2015.

Answer: Presumably he is killed. He is attached to the truck with bungee cords and has no protection from the force of impact in the crash, which is sufficient to break the rig into pieces. There is no way he could have survived the crash.
