Rudy: You're the only one who ever took me seriously, Pete.
Trivia: The guy who played No. 75 (the one who starts chanting "Rudy") is the only actual Notre Dame football player in the movie. He is Peter Rausch, freshman class of 1987. Rausch was a highly recruited defensive lineman from Fort Meyers, Florida in 1987, but played very little due to injuries and health problems (cataract surgery, appendectomy). Rausch had already completed his eligibility, or his appearance in the movie would have been an NCAA violation.
Question: Is it Rudy's friend Jim who makes the catch on the halfback pass thrown by Vince Vaughn, Jamie near the end of the Georgia Tech game?
