The Rocky Horror Picture Show mistake picture

Other mistake: After Frank releases Dr. Scott from the Triple Contact Electro Magnet, Janet and Rocky are heard giggling in Rocky's birthtank. As Frank walks over to the tank, the right magnet pops out again just before it goes off-screen. (01:02:45)

Other mistake: When the Narrator looks at the photographs in "The Denton Affair" album, some of the photos don't match up with what actually occurred in the previous scene. Things such as, when the car pulls up, and the driver exits and moves out of view, there are only a few people left on the porch, but in the photo there is a crowd on the porch.

Other mistake: When Frank is awakening Rocky he tells Riff Raff to turn up the power three more points; the power hadn't been turned up in the first place.

Factual error: The criminologist describes the events of the movie as taking place "on a late November evening". In the very next scene, Brad and Janet are driving in Brad's car, and President Richard Nixon's resignation speech is playing on the radio. Nixon resigned in August of 1974. (00:12:00)

Trivia: At one point on set, the cast had an off-camera Easter egg hunt. Some were never found - you can see at least three of the eggs in the film: one under Frank-N-Furter's throne, one in the main hall in place of the light, and another when they are going up to the lair in the elevator.

Question: One of my co-workers said the first line in the show was, "Michael Renee was sick the day the Earth stood still". Could you give me the exact first line and what it means?

Answer: The first line to the lyrics of 'Science Fiction/Double Feature' is "Michael Rennie was ill The Day the Earth Stood Still, but he told us where we stand." That line is a reference to the 1951 film classic 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', which stars Michael Rennie as Klaatu, the alien from outer-space, who is shot at the start of the film when he tries to convey a dire message of goodwill to the humans. The rest of the song lyrics refer to other science fiction films including 'The Invisible Man' starring Claude Rains, 'King Kong' starring Fay Wray, and 'Tarantula' starring Leo G. Carroll.
