Plot hole: After everyone flees the family home, as Optimus is escaping he is pursued by a helicopter. He is driving down a road in a straight line. He never deviates. Yet the helicopter misses him every time, only narrowly hitting him on the side.

Directed by: Michael Bay
Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Peter Cullen, Nicola Peltz

Continuity mistake: Optimus and the car Tessa is trapped in are caught in a net and are pulled up to Lockdown's ship. Cade then jumps and grabs onto the net whilst it is being raised. There is a brief moment where Optimus is not visible inside the from the net, before being visible again in the next shot. The CG artists likely forgot to add Optimus into the shot during post-production. (01:22:35)
Trivia: One of the KSI Transformer prototypes transforms into a Cadillac Cien, which is the same car Tom Lincoln drove in The Island, also directed by Michael Bay.
Question: Megatron was brought back through the body of Galvatron because his head was recovered, although Optimus Prime previously stated that Transformers' memories are stored in their Spark in their chest. Wouldn't this mean Megatron would not have any of his memories from before?

Answer: Optimus was being dramatic when he said it contained their memories. Transformers don't carry their memories in their spark any more than humans carry theirs in their soul.
