Transformers: Age of Extinction

Question: Megatron was brought back through the body of Galvatron because his head was recovered, although Optimus Prime previously stated that Transformers' memories are stored in their Spark in their chest. Wouldn't this mean Megatron would not have any of his memories from before?

Answer: Optimus was being dramatic when he said it contained their memories. Transformers don't carry their memories in their spark any more than humans carry theirs in their soul.

Question: Twice in the film, Bumblebee is shown turning around and a close up of his license plate is show, reading 900 STRA. Is this a reference to anything?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: There is no reference. 900 STRA was just the number plate of the car he adapted from.

Question: There's something I was wondering about Galvatron. Joshua Joyce said he modelled Galvantron after Optimus Prime. If that's true then why did he end up looking like Megatron?

Answer: They were using the remains of Megatron as a template, and didn't realise that his programming had taken over the project and influencing the look of the final project.

Garlonuss

Chosen answer: It's not 100% clear if it's his "natural" voice at the end of the first movie or just the radio, but the other movies imply he's either able to talk but prefers to use the radio, or that his voicebox was only partially repaired, and still malfunctions.

Chosen answer: It's not explained where he is. The most likely assumption is that he is probably married to Carly living somewhere. He is not in the movie because it is mainly the choice of the writers to not have him in the movie.

Casual Person

Question: When Prime leads the Dino bots into battle with the prototypes, how do the Dinobots know not to attack the Autobots or how to distinguish between them and the prototypes?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: Easy answer, the prototypes are shooting at them. It's easy to tell who the bad guys are.

Question: How exactly did Optimus wind up in a beat down theater in Texas? Didn't they say the ambush that he escaped from was in Chicago? If he was hit by the missile there, or wherever it was that he was hit, how did he get to that theater in the middle of Texas and some how wind up inside. It seemed by how he reacted when he was revived that he was still in the heat of it when he went unconscious from the attack, and didn't get to the theater after the fact to just fade away. So how?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: The battle that lead the government to hunting all transformers was in Chicago, but the incident that took Optimus out of commission was not. He'd been on the run for however long, even changing his appearance to avoid detection, when he was ambushed. Wounded, he snuck into the theater to hide before transforming one last time into vehicle form at which point he basically passed out, lost consciousness, or whatever it is robots call it when they involuntarily shut down (stasis). His aggressive reaction upon waking is simply down to his instinctive warrior reflexes immediately kicking in. All humans are a potential threat to him now, so he reacted accordingly in an instant.

Phixius

Question: Where were they fighting? Towards the end where they were fighting between the silos you can see Chicago's Willis (Sears) Tower between them. After that, Optimus grabs everyone, blasts off to get them out of there, and almost immediately lands in what looks like Japan.

Answer: I think they are in Hong Kong.

Question: Is this true that, when working on this movie, Mark Wahlberg relentlessly bullied Jack Reynor? And, if he did, then what caused him to bully Reynor?

Answer: I looked all over Google and cannot find any references to Wahlberg bullying Reynor. Wahlberg mentioned that he would tease Reynor on set over silly things like his Irish accent, but all indications were that it was in more of a friendly way, kinda like how friends like to "bust each other's balls." Wahlberg also jokingly referred to Reynor as "an a**hole" in one interview, but almost immediately indicated he was just joking around and praised Reynor as an actor. Unless someone hears otherwise, it seems it wasn't a case of bullying so much as just friendly ribbing between a veteran actor and his younger co-star.

Transformers: Age of Extinction mistake picture Video

Visible crew/equipment: Just after Lockdown stabs Optimus in the chest with his own sword, Cade runs closer and shoots at Lockdown. He then hides behind some bricks. In that shot, the bricks are a broken wall that is two separate pieces. Then it cuts to a different shot as Lockdown returns fire at Cade, and now the wall is one piece. Not only this, but some random guy suddenly appears in the shot next to the wall and right where the explosion happens where Lockdown shot the wall. He is wearing the same color clothes as the wall and only visible for a moment. There was no other guy present until that moment and he just suddenly appears behind Cade and gets hit. It's presumably a special effects member setting off the charge in the wall by the looks of it and it detonated before he got out of the shot. (02:30:55)
