Continuity mistake: Lilo put candy on the counter: one green, one yellow, and two orange. The next shot goes to AJ. Then back to Lilo, and now the yellow candy has vanished, and the other pieces have moved around, indicating this is from a different take. (00:30:23)
Continuity mistake: When Yelena Belova is found by the survivor scientist in Malaysia, she advances towards him, hands raised. However, she holds the explosive in her right hand in different ways between shots (check when she mentions the "breakthrough").
Factual error: When the hackers are trying to steal the photo from the woman's laptop, they turn up the TV to distract her. One of them clicks the smart TV icon and starts dragging the slider to increase the volume, which is all well and good, but we then cut to the hacker hammering the up key to increase the volume instead.
Other mistake: The Titanosaurs are somehow able to be completely hidden in grass that doesn't even reach waist level on humans.
Plot hole: Reed's plan to teleport the planet away is based on the upscaling of the teleportation device he invented a couple of days prior. Every time he uses it, though, it uses TWO pads: a transmitter and a receiver. It takes the collaboration (and the power grid) of the whole planet to use the transmitter, but the receiver is conveniently absent. It would have invalidated the whole plan.
Visible crew/equipment: In the church at the beginning, there is a close-up shot of Sammy having flashbacks. A modern green LED light flashes next to the crucifix above the entrance door. (00:02:41)
Factual error: A DC3 that flies at 198 mph max makes it from Europe to Alaska to Africa in a few hours.
Other mistake: An on-screen graphic indicates the opening prologue takes place in Okinawa in 1986 and shows a scene from 'The Karate Kid Part II' of Miyagi explaining his family history to Daniel. While 'Part II' was released in 1986, it took place in the summer of 1985, since the events of 'Part III' are one year after the tournament in the first film, which took place in 1984.
Factual error: In the air battle with the Predator vs the World War 2 planes, Torres figures out the alien is tracking their heat. When he and the other pilot climb high to cool the engines, Torres cuts off his while the other pilot keeps his on. In the Predator's perspective, as soon as Torres kills his engine, the ship disappears from his heat vision. That's not how heat works. It's not just a light switch you can turn on and off. It would take time for the plane to slowly cool off and be invisible. (00:55:15)
Continuity mistake: In the dark alley meeting between Jimmy Olsen and Eve Teschmacher, Sara Sampaio's hands change position on the jacket between shots a couple of times (for instance, at the end when she says "Ok" with a big sigh, her hands are under Jimmy's collar, but they were above it a moment before).
Revealing mistake: The computers in the bank have Excel running with the familiar yellow "Enable Editing" bar at the top, so none of the work the characters are doing would actually be saved. Either the main character is pretending to work, or he would be very disappointed when returning to his spreadsheet.
Continuity mistake: As the silver car comes to a stop after smashing into the black SUV, there are a few bullet holes in its left hand side. The driver's door has a few - there's a diagonal line of three. Everyone stops shooting as it stops, with no new holes in the door. But as the guy approaches to pull the door open, in a closer shot the whole side of the car is riddled - the driver's door is just a mass of holes. (00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: When Serena climbs over their balcony railing and starts edging along the wall, her hair is all tied back. When she arrives on the other balcony and leans out to watch her dad climbing over, her hairstyle has changed; now there are a couple of braids loose over her ears. There wasn't time for her to change it (and of course she wouldn't be styling her hair while escaping from a gunman). (00:36:01)
Plot hole: The main character has opted to cut the Lusitania, a ship torpedoed in 1915 south of Ireland and a war grave with 1,200 killed, into 3 pieces and lift the middle section with a couple of flotation devices. The only chance they would have the Irish naval service not putting a stop to this within hours would be on St. Patrick's Day. Interesting as well that the prices are after the cut miraculously far enough apart that the lift goes without any hitch. And neither the Brits nor Irish object. (00:35:00)
Character mistake: Pearce is sitting with his mother, drinking from a glass with his left hand. In the next shot, the glass has suddenly switched to his right hand. (00:25:38)
Character mistake: Noel says that Sam Clarke, the British Prime Minister, is the only head of state who isn't really a head of state because the King is. In fact, the British PM isn't head of state at all, but head of government. And this is common in many countries throughout the world, with a monarch or president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. The American-style system of an executive president who is both head of state and head of government is in the minority.
Revealing mistake: The guy whipping her horse, Sonja throws a chain around his neck from behind and yanks him. However, you can see the actor starts to throw himself backwards before Sonja even pulls on the chain, jumping the cue.
Continuity mistake: When Colonel Lockjaw goes to the meeting with Throckmorton and Irvine, he combs his hair while in the elevator, but during the meeting, they are messy again. (00:38:50 - 00:39:45)
Factual error: Cell phones aren't allowed to be used inside the CIA headquarters building and other intelligence agencies for security reasons. One of the security guards would have stopped "Auntie" if she attempted to walk through the security turnstiles while on her phone and would have told her to end her conversation, power down her phone, and secure it in her car or in a locker outside of the building before entering. Continuity mistake: When the bus is en route to Everest, there's an aerial shot of a road with a red building on the left and a large black billboard on its roof. The bus continues for several minutes, and after the hijackers hop on, the exact same aerial shot is reused.
