Factual error: At the end of the film a character is walking through a studio lot in 1952. Through the trees behind him can be seen a section of a poster advertising Jackass Forever (2022).
Deliberate mistake: The thug wearing headphones and facing the money on the shelves did not notice that Savage forcefully opened the door several feet to his right, slamming it against the adjacent wall, or that Savage had entered the room. The bang to and vibration from the door hitting the wall should have been enough to overpower the sound from his earphones, but - even if they weren't - his peripheral vision should have sensed the door opening and Savage entering. Continuity mistake: Before the family went outside, the fire extinguisher was part-way below the window sill. When Peter (father) went inside, the fire extinguisher was away from the window sill (more toward the right of the screen). (00:07:33 - 00:09:12)
Continuity mistake: Before Eamon hung his jacket and hat on the nails, there were three nails close together near the right side of the board. When he was hanging his jacket and hat, there were only two nails, which appeared to have more distance between them. When the camera shifted, there were a couple nails protruding to the left of the hat. The single nail that was on the far left side of the board turned into two nails. (00:04:38)
Other mistake: The crate, which had gaps between the boards, was buried about 8-10' deep, but it was free of dirt when it was being hoisted out of the hole. (01:14:25)
Revealing mistake: The aerial view showed it was not raining during the "supercar race", but the ground views showed at least two cars getting sprinkled on (one enough to turn on the wipers). Continuity mistake: Gilbert/Robert was wearing a red pocket square (left lapel) when he was in the phone booth, but not when he came out of the hotel. (00:03:38 - 00:04:36)
Continuity mistake: The bottle of beer on the bar in front of Everett disappears in one shot but re-appears. Also, depending on the camera's angle, Everett either has his right hand holding onto the edge of the bar or is below the bar (out of sight). (00:04:25 - 00:40:14)
Factual error: While playing soccer in the background, Ali's "credentials" were displayed across the screen. Under "Academics", Ali is listed as "MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY" - but "Honors" should be singular ("Honor"). It is also odd to state "All 'A' honor roll." With a GPA of 4.3, something to the effect of "Highest Honors with Distinction" would be more likely. [It is possible to receive a "B" in an Advanced Placement course yet have a GPA above 4.0.]. Deliberate mistake: After Sam freed Gary from being tied up by the aliens, Gary pulled off the cast he got earlier that day and was able to use his left arm as though it had never been broken. (00:45:43)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall behind Casey jumped from 10:45 to 11:00 while he was talking to his wife and daughter. At times, the clock appeared to have 3-4 hands and when a hand should have been visible behind his back pointing at "12", no hands could be seen. (00:19:16 - 00:19:46)
Continuity mistake: When The Artist is talking on the phone to Detective Mary Kelly, sometimes his long, wavy hair behind the phone is flat and other times fluffy (extending wider than the phone). (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: The piece of paper that had "MIN" written on it suddenly changed from being in the corner of the table to being on the left side of the planchette (heart-shaped pointer), which was near the center of the Ouija board and table. (00:10:20)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall behind Carl when he is pushing the wheelchair to Bess' room is at 11:58. After Carl puts Bess into the wheelchair and is pushing her down the hall, the clock is at 11:45 (or, possibly, 9:00). (00:14:08 - 00:15:40)
Continuity mistake: The champagne bottle was behind some candles on the table, but in front of them and in the corner of the table when Danny picked it up. The number and arrangement of the (CGI) candles also varied with close-up versus more distant views. (00:04:42)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie when the guys are arguing on the porch the guy on the ground suddenly appears to be off the porch in the next shot on the ground.
Continuity mistake: The "Santa" carrying the Molotov Cocktail walked up the steps and past the decorated handrail, but he was standing within the length of the handrail (about mid-way) when the camera shifted from the right-rear to left-rear side. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: The placement and angle of the "Not Friendly" sign on the dead security guard's upper right body changes from when Elvis is looking at him down the hall to when Elvis is kneeling next to his body. Continuity mistake: The street view/scenery when Emily is walking down the road outside of her new apartment becomes quite different when the camera shifts to an aerial view (showing more cars and buildings, fewer trees along the right side of the road, and mountains in the distance instead of the nearby ocean). Continuity mistake: The front wheel on Brian's "flying cuckoo clock" (adult tricycle with attachments) is parallel to the rear tires while he is behind the bike trying to start the makeshift "motor." Brian is always shown in back of the bike, but the front tire is angled to the left after the third camera shift and is at a greater angle after he gets the motor running. (The force from Brian spinning the motor may have caused minor shaking of the bike, but wasn't enough to turn the front wheel). (00:04:30)
