Other mistake: When Amy Adams leaves the spacecraft for the final time she is met by Jeremy Renner who throws a blanket around her shoulders. As he does so, the blanket gets caught on something out of view top-of-frame (presumably a boom mic) and he has to tug at it to free it. This was part of one long take in fading light and given the amount of background action going on it was presumably too difficult or time consuming to re-shoot. (01:32:55)
Revealing mistake: When the hiker's body is taken out of the cottage, it is so obviously a dummy - you can see the join in the neck.
Factual error: Himmler incorrectly refers to the Nazi Party as the National Socialist Democratic Workers Party. The proper name is the National Socialist German Workers Party. (01:08:10)
Factual error: Hugh Jackman says the car he is working on is a '72 classic. It is actually a 1979 Pontiac Firebird.
Factual error: There are a number of errors in the Irish rank insignia. The general wears at various times three bars (worn by a captain in 1961, when the film is set) and a modern major-general's rank badge (introduced in 1971). The junior officers wear British-style pips (not introduced by the Irish Army until 1971). The company sergeant wears the rank badge of the lower rank of company quartermaster sergeant.
Factual error: The tailplane of the crashed German bomber is a HE177. The film is set in 1943, the HE177 didn't operate over Britain until 1944.
Continuity mistake: In the first getaway scene Tanner Howard is driving the blue car with blue latex gloves still on from the robbery. As he drives he pulls off the gloves, but in the very next shot of him driving he has the gloves back on. (00:04:35)
Factual error: Women's stockings had seams in 1944. When people are dancing at the party in Bayfield's apartment, the backs of women's legs appear in enough shots to show that their stockings, anachronistically, are seamless.
Factual error: In the opening shot of the movie while our characters are driving down the street in 1951, there is a post-2000, white Toyota Tercel. It's the 2nd car on the left. The car is removed from the next scene. (00:00:50)
Continuity mistake: When Corbin writes FISA on the board, the text changes between shots, note the circle surrounding it.
Continuity mistake: At the end while the whole family is about to eat pizza, the sun changes between shots.
Factual error: The main plot is that a teacher answering a student's question about Jesus in a historical context starts a legal firestorm. This is utterly preposterous. Teachers (and students for that matter) are 100% allowed to discuss religion in a historical context. They just can't do things like force other people to take part in religious activities (like prayer) or "endorse" a single religion above all others since public schools need to remain neutral. There'd be literally no case against her.
Continuity mistake: When hanging out with Erwin in the pool, Nadine's toenails are painted red. However, the next time we see Nadine's toes when she is getting ready for her date with Nick, they are painted black. (00:58:20 - 01:11:13)
Continuity mistake: When Mia arrives at the cafe she works at the morning after her and Sebastian first dance together, she has a yellow bag, but when her and Sebastian walk out of the cafe later, she has a larger red bag.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, there is a scene where Rebecca's phone is ringing, and it wakes her up. She grabs the cell off the night stand. She has red nail polish on. When she puts the phone back down on the night stand, her nails are natural, not polished.
Audio problem: On the beach, when Rodrigues asks when Inoue-sama will arrive, the Interpreter tells him that he is not coming. Rodrigues then says "He treats me kindly", but his lips do not move along with the speech. He just nods. (01:48:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When Juan comes back at home and sees Chiron in his garden, a crew member is visible at the back of the side mirror of the car. We see the eye staring at the car. (00:16:45)
Factual error: Saroo is in Melbourne in 2008 (as indicated by the text at the beginning of the scene). As Saroo and Lucy walk down the street on opposite sides, a red Nissan Qashqai is seen driving past. That car didn't come out until 2013.
Factual error: When Jake Gyllenhaal confronts one of the suspects in the shed and wakes up (several hours later) after being knocked out cold, he moves the dead guy's arm. Normally, bodies stiffen up after being dead for several hours, but when Tony (Jake) moves the other guy's arm, it is not stiff at all.
Continuity mistake: After visiting the funeral parlor, Lee Chandler and his nephew Patrick walk back to the car. Lee puts on his cap with the brand emblem facing right. In the following shots, this brand emblem keeps flipping from one side to the other. (01:09:00)
