Other mistake: When Marcus, Kyle and Star are at the petrol station, a flying HK and the giant Harvester robot are able to appear just outside without making any kind of sound. In every other scene of the Harvester and the HKs however, they both make an incredible amount of noise. (00:37:40)
Other mistake: When the monk arrives with Jackson and the others at the gate leading into the secret entrance of the ships, the countdown to impact timer reads about 28 minutes. It is highly implausible that the group, which contains elderly and small children, are able to get to the top of what looks to be a 100 story staircase in less than 15 minutes without breaking a sweat. Once they are inside the hatch, the countdown to impact timer reads about 13 minutes.
Other mistake: While flying the helicopters, notice that the human pilots are not wearing protective masks in an open cockpit with the cargo doors wide open as the Avatars are either hanging out of, or staining to see past the pilots.
Suggested correction: This has been submitted and corrected three separate times. The cockpit is sealed off from the outside.
Baloney. The movie made several egregious errors involving the use of masks. In several scenes you see them not wearing masks in human form including going into the lab at the floating mountains. Everyone including Trudy should have been dead within minutes.
Other mistake: Due to the gait of the T-Rex, its head moves rather significantly when it walks as seen throughout the movie. However when it approaches Dr. Marshall with the laser in its teeth, the laser is steady and able to pinpoint a line up his head in a very steady manner which would not have been possible.
Other mistake: After the scene where we learn that the female with braids is named Sandra, her head explodes and Kable's face and hair are splattered with brain pieces, one second later he only has blood on his face.
Other mistake: During the Comedian's funeral, in a shot from above showing both grave and the casket, the grave is actually shorter than the casket. (00:33:55)
Other mistake: When Ripcord flies the black jet toward the White House, he decides to ascend to the atmosphere to rid the craft of the nanomites. As he flies toward the lawn and up the air, he narrowly misses hitting the balcony, where an agent shields himself with his arms from the jet. At such a close distance and at that incredibly fast speed, the agent would have been pulled in by the jet's wake and thrown up in the air. (01:39:45)
Other mistake: When Logan is talking to the old man in the barn, in the "This was my son's jacket, try it on" scene, he is sitting on the motorbike, and when he gets up, the bike doesn't move up on its suspension. A few seconds later, when he sits back down on the bike, the suspension sinks a lot due to the weight of his adamantium skeleton.
Other mistake: In one of the beginning scenes, the time at the bottom says that it is 22:00, which means it would be 10pm in China. In the scene, it is bright daylight, not night time as it should be. (00:02:15)
Other mistake: In the scene with the plane that is attacked by the mega shark and subsequently crashes, the camera focuses on one character in particular- a man who states he is "getting married in a few days". It is assumed when the plane crashes that everyone on board dies, yet in the very next scene this man walks behind Deborah Gibson's character as an extra.
Other mistake: On the desert road with the 3 black SUVs coming from behind, Jack says he will let them pass. As he slows down, a shot of the speedometer is shown, where you can see the gear indicator is in neutral.
Other mistake: When the Kelvin is about to impact Nero's ship, the countdown, in seconds, goes from xx.00 to xx.30. Meaning the fraction of the seconds start at .30 when they should start at .99.
Other mistake: In the crowd near the end, if you look very closely you can see unit 2013 twice.
Other mistake: As Viggo Mortensen narrates, it's been years since every crop and animal has died. Trees have been dead so long they're rotting where they stand and falling over with a stiff wind or slight tremor. Yet, in the woods, there are always fallen leaves on the ground which ought to have long ago decomposed, rain or no rain. Obviously, they can't sweep out the whole forest to make a movie.
Other mistake: Shortly after the start of the movie, when Eric Bana's character reappears in the library and starts to put his clothes back on, his pants are already undone. If he had suddenly vanished from the library, then his pants should not be undone (unless, of course, he was up to no good just as he vanished).
Other mistake: There is a shot of a random newspaper blowing around in the middle of San Francisco. But the paper is from New York, with headlines about New York.
Other mistake: When 1 strikes off 2 (I think) from the calendar we can see that 1 is Wednesday, 2 is Thursday, 3 is Friday and that 4 is Saturday but 5 is Monday; meaning that Sunday has no date.
Other mistake: In the end credits, BASSES is misspelled as BASESS. (01:45:10)
Other mistake: After Precious has her baby, Abdul, her school friends visit her in the hospital as her nurse, "John," is eating lunch with her. When John introduces himself to Precious' friends, he says he is a nurse's aide, and then later refers to himself as "Nurse John." When he stands up to leave the hospital room, you can see the word "NURSE" on his hospital ID badge pinned to his scrubs.
Other mistake: The DVD cover that has older Dren posing naked with her tail blade or stinger exposed shows her hands on the far right side crossing, and her hand has five fingers. In the movie her hands only have four fingers.
