Other mistake: After the first race, in the scene where Lightning is rushing out on the stage thinking he is the winner, loads of confetti is shot out when the King and Chick Hicks gets onto the stage. The confetti is then falling down, but not a single flake hits any of the cars. However, in the following shots, you can see plenty of it on the stage underneath the cars, even though they haven't moved.
Audio problem: In the shot where the kids are locked in the police car, banging on the windows yelling at the policemen, their cries are muffled as if the car was totally closed up. As the camera zooms in, you can see the front driver's side window is open so the kids' voices should be much clearer.
Continuity mistake: In the first 'Ice Age' Diego isn't afraid of water (in the beginning he chases the woman and the baby through the river before she jumps off the waterfall and never shows any fear) but in this one he suddenly is. It's not like that he is just afraid of swimming because in the second movie he shows fear anytime when he touches water.
Continuity mistake: When Yankee goes into his bedroom after losing the baseball game in the sandlot, he tears a hand-drawn picture of himself, Babe Ruth and his dad off the wall. The pieces of the picture fall on the bedroom floor. A few shots later the pieces are missing. Yankee was the only one in the room, and he didn't move them. Plus the window is closed, so it couldn't have been wind.
Plot hole: Mater tells McQueen he moved and looked like he just saw the Ghostlight. Sheriff gets on to Mater for talking about the Ghostlight and then their whole plan falls into place to trick and scare Mater with the blue lantern. Only there's no way they would have known that Mater would have mentioned the Ghostlight after that. McQueen didn't know about it, supposedly. And he had been scared by Mater and had been there enough that he would have known if Mater had mentioned it before, and Mater would have known he told McQueen. (00:01:55)Quantom X
Continuity mistake: When Boog is "attacking" Elliot backstage at the Amphitheater and is pulling the ropes which the audience thinks are his intestines, the ropes are pulled willy-nilly and at great lengths when viewed through the curtain. But when viewed backstage while Boog is trying to tie Elliott with the rope, the rope is coiled neatly in a pile, except for a short length in Boog's paws.Brenda Elzin
Continuity mistake: This is after news has arrived to the elephant village that Ayutthaya is fighting back after being occupied by the Burmese for some time. The raiders arrive and are rounded up before falling into a trap. At first, the pit is almost square, with rounded edges. Cut to an aerial shot and the same pit is now a circle. (00:50:45)ployp
