Continuity mistake: In the scene at Mr Bingly's ball, where Lizzie is looking for Charlotte, she obviously notices her and starts walking towards her with her arms stretched out, palms down. In the next shot, her palms are turned upwards to take Charlotte's hands, who have hers palm down.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie, when Barbara crosses the road from Grand Central Station to catch the taxi, there is a blue car parked in front of it. Then when the shot is shown from the rear of the taxi, the blue car is gone. When the shot moves back to the side view, the blue car is back there again. In addition when the shot is taken from the side of the taxi, there is no green fence visible, however, when the shot is from the rear of the taxi, there is a shoulder-high green tubular fence on the footpath. Continuity mistake: During the coverage of a bingo game, the caller said B-8. Immediately the shot changed to a player covering N-38.
Continuity mistake: As John first checks in at the Baker motel, the pen on the desk shifts between shots. It's on a chain and certainly would make some noise if either character had moved it. (00:10:45)
Continuity mistake: When Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first share the bed together, the digital clock on Jennifer's right side (viewer's left) first goes from 10:27 to 10:28 in two consecutive shots. However, in two more following shots during the same scene, the clock displays 10:27 once again, and then displays 10:28 again before the scene ends.
Continuity mistake: When Lorena falls off the chair during The Miss Latina America beauty pageant, Miss Bolivia's hand changes from holding the chair, to on her lap, to back on the chair between shots.
Continuity mistake: After Miles makes his keynote speech, he goes down the aisle and eventually Wrigley embraces him. W. is holding a program in his hand while hugging Miles. At first it is rolled up, then it is folded over, then it is rolled up again. At no time did he change it.
Continuity mistake: When Colm Meaney and Colin Farrell have the shoot-out right at the end, the material filmed changes between then and when the director is viewing it at the end. First, Farrell shoots Meaney, then the camera goes to white and two more gun-shots go off. Then, when he is watching it later, Farrell pulls the gun from his pocket and the director shoots him straight away. Then when he rewinds it, it shows Colin Farrell pull his gun, the camera man look to the bonnett of the car where the gun is, then bring it up and shoot him.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Halley just left from her counselor's office, Macon was going to go after her but the counselor stopped him. Then he was doing something with his hands and he had a pen. In the next shot, he sort of taps the wall, and the pen is gone.
Continuity mistake: When Third hugs the Hawaiian girl on the boat at the start, the second shot of them they aren't hugging, but then they are again.
Continuity mistake: After they have sex for the first time, Adam and Evelyn are on the floor and she tells him to smile into the camera that was filming them making love. The camera however, is pointed right at them on the floor, not on the bed where the scene started and they had the actual sex. (00:32:20)
Continuity mistake: When Molly sits in the teacups with Ray, one of her straps falls down on her arm. In the next shot where they are spinning, the strap is back up.
Continuity mistake: When Eric is battling the wigger kid on the halfpipe, the wigger's skateboard changes. When he's just standing on the top of the ramp, it's a World Industries board, but when he's doing tricks it's an almost all black skateboard.
Continuity mistake: As Mick Molloy and his partner chase the dead Magistrate's car through the shops you can see the night sky through the glass roof, even though seconds before you see that outside is a bright sunny day.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tom is eating popcorn and pretending to be Scottish, the empty popcorn box vanishes and reappears as the camera cuts back and forth.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after the half-time break in the International Tournement, Cliff Starkey has been to the sea to retrieve his "English Plasic and Asda bag" Bowls and starts playing with these again to improve his game and his luck. When we then see lots of shots of the UK Bowls smashing the Aussie bowls out of the way, (as we make a storming fightback) they are back to the blue ones again. Then it cuts back to the last few ends and he has the black plastic back.
Continuity mistake: When Alex is lying on the hospital, you can see that, after the nurse checks his testicles, the light blue uniform changes from plain to crease several times.
Continuity mistake: In the final wedding scene in the tent, both the father of the bride and the father of the groom walk in looking fresh and dry, not looking at all like they had just hopped off a jetski and been hit with a large wave.
Continuity mistake: Charlie's tie at the start of his first day as teacher is green, beige and white, but at noon when the Sheriff comes in to check on him, his tie is now white, brown and yellow in an entirely different striped pattern. Continuity mistake: In the nightclub where Marci and her girlfriends do the diversity dance, Marci starts by taking a white fur that she's wearing off of her shoulders and wrapping it around her head. Then there is a cutaway to another person. When we cut back to Marci, not only is the fur on her head no longer there, but we can see an extra in the background wearing it over her shoulders.
