Continuity mistake: When Danny gets shot at the end of the film, his paper flies out of his hand. But the very next shot of him shows that the paper is still in his hand being held over his head while he falls backwards. In one of the following shots the paper is back on the floor, but it's on the opposite side it should have been when it flew out of his hand. It's all shown in slow motion and it's very obvious.
Continuity mistake: Toward the end when Crews runs in with Red he first knocks his right headlight out, later it is back in, then it's out again. (01:21:40)
Continuity mistake: At the end, the paramedics are taking Samuel L. Jackson into an ambulance. His head is toward the front of the ambulance but in the next shot, Jackson's head is at the back of the ambulance. (02:08:25)
Continuity mistake: When the young Chinese girl is kidnapped, while in the car, her tie is on. When she tries to fight the guy her tie is off in one shot, then back on again a few seconds later. There is also no blood after the first shot, but when the shooter opens the back door, there is blood on Soo Yung's face, but mid fight, the blood is missing, and again blood is present when she runs out. Continuity mistake: During the chase scene, there is a Citroen XM series II (the citroen sign in the middle, on the front) and then there's a Citroen XM series I (the citroen sign on the driver's side, on the front). It changes back and forth a couple of times. There's also a difference at the bottom of the car; the series I carries the name Citroen XM on the left side, while the series II bears a Citroen sign on the left side and the XM sign on the right.
Continuity mistake: When Suzie pours champagne on Kelly's chest,from shot to shot she sometimes has champagne on her chest and sometimes doesn't.
Continuity mistake: During the bedroom scene, Annett Benning is stroking her lover's chin. Depending on the camera angle (pointing at her or pointing at him) her hands switch from left to right and back to the left. (00:43:25)
Continuity mistake: When the Dude is in Jackie Treehorn's estate, he pencils over a pad of paper to see what Jackie wrote down while he was on the phone. He then hurriedly crumples up the piece of paper and shoves it in his wallet. Then, when we see the Chief of Police of Malibu looking through the contents of The Dude's wallet, the paper is there, neatly folded in fourths.
Continuity mistake: During the car chase involving the car driven by the Chinese guy, Murtaugh, and the mobile home, the two cars slide against each other and the right wing mirror on Murtaugh's car is completely wrecked. Once the two cars are separated the wing mirror has miraculously repaired itself. The left wing mirror also does a disappearing / reappearing trick.
Continuity mistake: When the guys visit Kenny in prison, they put their fists on the glass, the angle of their fists changes between shots. Most notably Scarface (on the right).
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Michael (Jeremy Piven) kills his brother Adam in the parking lot, you can see that when he pulls out of the parking space, he turns his vehicle around. The camera cuts from an outside view (where Adam's minivan is) to inside Mike's car. If you watch, Mike turns his steering wheel to the left but his car turns to the right when the camera switches back.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where DMX is with the two younger guys for dinner and one of them shoots the other, when he drops down on the table his arms fall off the table, but in the next shot they're neatly rested on top of the table.
Continuity mistake: When Julia Costello goes to leave Ned Campbell's hotel room he grabs her by her upper arms. She did not even flinch, which considering she had recently been shot in the upper left arm is a little strange.
Continuity mistake: While the hitmen are kidnapping Nishi's daughter, we see her and her boyfriend in the back of the limo. As the boyfriend is trying to undress her we see that she is wearing ordinary white knickers. Then when Mark Wahlberg lets her use the bathroom, we see him pull her knickers up for her (she is handcuffed), which are now more like hotpants.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Worm and Mike go to see Gramma about Worm's debt, Gramma says, "What's the matter, Lester? You looking for a little charity?" Worm curses at Gramma and takes the toothpick out of his mouth and throws it on the floor. Gramma grabs Worm immediately and the toothpick is back in Worm's mouth.
Continuity mistake: After the failed accident, you can see Lola's bra revealed on the right side. After a cut, the shirt covers it.
Continuity mistake: When Tony kills the first fat guy, the fat guy falls back in his chair. Yet after Tony kills the other fat guy the first fat guy is back upright in his chair.
Continuity mistake: During the shooting at Eddy's place, when Rory goes in, there is a man next to the wall. His head is almost on his shoulder, but when Eddy and his friend arrive the man's head is up, then in the next shot it is again down on his shoulders.
Continuity mistake: When John and Meg are trying to escape the carwash in the car, in some shots the back window of the car is totally missing and in others there is a large section of shattered glass still there. (00:41:24)
Continuity mistake: When Jennifer Lopez sits on a bed in the hospital, she is talking to someone on the other side of the room. When the camera points towards Jennifer the sheets of her bed are a little bit messy; when the camera returns to Jennifer in the next shot her bed is made up.
