Continuity mistake: In the final round, when Happy and Shooter McGavin are about to tee off on the first hole, they show a picture of the 18th green with the Volkswagen Beetle already crashed into the TV tower. As she's standing in front of the desk she's wearing a cardigan with a handbag over her shoulder. When she turns round to say "you promise not to laugh?", the cardigan and bag have disappeared. Other mistake: When the nanny comes home with the tags, they call Jewel to get hers first. Jewel has a penis.
Factual error: It is stated that Miss Trunchbull competed in the Olympics in shot put, javelin, and hammer throw. According to her jersey those were the 1972 Olympics. The hammer throw wasn't added as an Olympic event for women until 2000.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, as Bette Midler, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn sing the song "You Don't Own Me," watch Goldie's shoes. For the first portion of the song, which takes place inside, she is wearing spiked-heel shoes with multiple straps. Then, as they dance through the doors onto the street, she is wearing shoes with a single strap and a much thicker heel.
Visible crew/equipment: When Barbra Streisand is standing in front of a window in Pierce Brosnan's apartment, if you look at the part of the window to her right, you can see the reflection of a crewmember standing in a doorway, drinking from a can. (01:50:00)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie when Ashtray is knocking at his father's door, his father answers the door with a chocolate bar that already has a bite taken out of it. When his father lets him and closes the door, the chocolate bar is still wrapped.
Visible crew/equipment: Brandi drives over to Darnell's place and throws a brick through his windshield. When the two of them are arguing and Brandi pulls off, you can see a reflection of a crew member holding a camera.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Claudia Karvan and someone else are sitting on stairs outside her flat talking you can clearly see the microphones at the top of the screen.
Continuity mistake: As paramedics inflate Jordan's assistant Stan Podolak following his lone bucket, the scoreboard shows the Monstars ahead 77-67 with 10 seconds remaining. Yet following his treatment and the surprise entrance of Bill Murray, the score has changed to 77-76 with no time having elapsed.
Continuity mistake: When they are in the Whitehouse, and Beavis has turned into Cornholio, he picks up the "Red" hotline phone on the President's desk, and is talking to the nuclear bomb officials. Revealing mistake: When they're trying to get rid of the bat at the cabin, they hold up a sheet to force it out of the door, however when they reach the door, you can see the bat being pulled up with string or wire.
Continuity mistake: Ishmael (Randy Quaid) clearly has a tattoo of a four leaf clover on his chest when he is rescued from the strip club, well before they even make it to Reno, where he allegedly gets the tattoo. (01:08:20)
Deliberate mistake: In the towel-dance scene after Demi has put on her white panties and spins off the towel from her hair she starts to rip off her body towel. Then in the next frame the towel is again tucked in. Apparently they didn't want Demi topless when she leaned over to slip on her blue shorts.
Continuity mistake: After he met the woman who helps them, Stephen Baldwin is wearing a shirt over his shoulders. In the very next cut, it is missing, but it reappears in the next cut.
Continuity mistake: When Jack is in his new classroom for the first time, he sits at a metal desk. He falls with the desk when he tries to reach his book bag, which is sitting next to a broken wooden desk. Next, he sits in the same - miraculously whole - wooden desk, then proceeds to break it to smithereens.
Suggested correction: Watched several times, he moves to the desk to the left of him that doesn't have a chair attached.
Continuity mistake: Coach Orion throws the puck at the bulletin board and makes a hole in it, but when he walks out of the locker room, the hole is gone.
