Question: In reality, do orcas actually understand English? Willy seems to understand Jesse when Jesse teaches him tricks.
Answer: Dogs can learn words up to the level of a 3 yr old, and whales are smarter than dogs, so definitely.
Dogs don't learn words, they start to recognize the sound that comes with a certain word like "stay" or "fetch", it's got more to do with the intonation than the actual word. They don't know what the word actually means. They can't imitate it nor can they recognize it in a sentence.
Question: Sally tries to prevent Jack from taking over Christmas using Fog Juice. How will fog stop him?
Answer: As seen in the movie, the Fog Juice made it difficult to see anything. Sally had hoped that with no way of seeing where he was going, she would be able to stop him from leaving Halloween Town and save his life.
Answer: Well, it won't. The fog only covered the ground. Because once Jack flew off in his sleigh, he could see. So, it didn't really stop him. He just had to fly above it, and boom! He could see.
Question: At the end of the movie, it shows Benny managing to steal home, being called safe, the catcher arguing that Benny was out and the umpire saying Benny was safe. In slow motion, it shows the catcher catching the ball and tagging Benny as he slides into home so why wasn't Benny called out?
Answer: The umpire got the call wrong in that case. It happens all the time in real life. It wasn't allowed back then, but now Major League Baseball and other sports leagues will use instant replay to make sure they get close calls right.
Answer: The catcher tags Benny on the chest after he touches home plate with his left hand. Safe.
Answer: The film shows Benny beating the tag. Although the ball gets there before Benny, the catcher tags Benny a split second after his hand touches home plate.
Question: When Daniel is calling home to apply for the job of housekeeper, why did he use different accents instead of just using the British accent instantly?
Answer: Daniel was pretending to be different people that were just all very horrible, so he used different accents. This way, when the "British nanny" calls, he was hoping Miranda would instantly consider him. If he called pretending to be Ms. Doubtfire right away, she might not have basically given him the job right away. And if he used the charming British accent for all his characters, it would have lost its charm when he decided to be Ms. Doubtfire.
Answer: He was just practising or trying it out, and took a while to think of it.
Question: Why did Dennis run away from George and Martha's house?

Question: What does Regina mean when she tells her boyfriend to swallow food before he talks, because they are in California? Talking while eating is rude almost everywhere, so what does California have to do with it?
Question: In the very last scene of the movie, we see Christina Ricci and David Krumholtz sitting in the Addams Family graveyard, and Krumholtz is placing flowers at Debbie Jellinski's tombstone, when a full human arm (presumably the late Debbie's) shoots out of the grave and grabs his wrist, sending him into screaming fits. However, Debbie was completely cremated to ash by electricity a few minutes earlier in the film. Nothing left of her but ash, shoes and credit cards. So, whose arm reached out from Debbie's grave?
Answer: We are never told whose arm it was that came out of the grave.
Answer: I always assumed she used Thing to prank him, but the arm was too long.
Answer: It was a prank Wednesday was pulling on Joel. She mentions she would scare her husband to death and then smiles when Joel starts screaming.
Yes, she said she'd scare her husband to death. But it is a very animated human arm that reaches out of the grave, causing me to wonder WHO was in the grave to pull off the prank?
I mean, if it was just a hand coming out of the grave, I would be satisfied that it was "Thing" taking part in the prank. But it was a whole human forearm (which Thing does not have).
There's no evidence in the film to answer the question. They never show you who the arm belongs to, and with good reason. It would ruin the joke. This is just one of those questions that can't be definitively answered.
This is also a reference to the end scene of Carrie.
Question: In the last shot of the film, Huck runs off into the sunset. Where could he be running off to? Did he run to get on the steamer boat or did he just run anywhere he could be going to?
Question: Why does Mickey want to stay behind with Yoshi, at the end, when Raph has had the connection with him throughout the film?
Answer: Michelangelo wants to stay behind for the same reasons as Raphael: because in that time and place, they are well respected, even revered as heroes. They can live openly and not be banished to sewers or subway stations.
Mikey didn't want to stay behind because of Yoshi but because of Mitsu. Raphael even points out that she's the reason he doesn't want to return. When Mikey says they should stay, Raph responds, "Now, forget about Mitsu and give me the scepter."
Question: How was the rain scene accomplished?
Answer: It was added at the edit. During the animation, the animators just made little sprinkles on the characters so it would look like the rain actually hit them.
Question: When the Cubs are playing the last game against the Mets, the last batter that Henry faces is Hedo. However, Henry has pitched three innings and only nine batters, so if you back up to the last batter Chet faced in the 6th inning, it wasn't Hedo. So how was he the 9th batter Henry faced?
Answer: Since we never see Hedo on the field, it's certainly possible that he's kept solely as a pinch hitter.
Question: Was there ever anything wrong with Colin? He seems to be in bed all the time and doesn't really do anything. Was he disabled or just kept in bed all the time for no reason?
Answer: Mary is told by Dickon that Colin was born early, and Martha even says that he was born very small and weak and no-one thought that he would survive. I think his premature birth made them believe that he was going to be a sickly child.
Question: How big are the characters in Veggie Tales?
Answer: The VeggieTales characters are fruits and vegetables that live in a regular human kitchen. So all the characters are meant to be the same size as their real-life counterparts.
